That somewhere is first contract players. Old vets lose a job for cheap rookie labor and elite players take the excess. Again the players have a union and most members are below avg vets. They don't care if the first pick of the draft gets $15M a year or he gets $3 a year as long as the team is still paying out the same amount of money overall. And teams were tired of unproven rookies getting insane contracts, especially when so many of them turned out to be busts. Better to spend that salary cap money to proven veterans. It really isn't that hard to grasp. And that's what is wrong with unions, pay your membership dues and if you get fucked oh well, we got ore dues. Rep the members or disband. The union didn't fix real issues, Goodall is the judge jury and hangman. Issues for a union should be about issues as well as money. Players sold out players. The fact they agreed to more drug testing and easier punishment is good for the union as a whole. It's only a disadvantage to the cheaters who get caught.
