I traded down for the pick because I thought the guy I wanted would be there. And Ive been refreshing for almost a day waiting for my pick only to find out Im suddenly given a short amount of time to get it in. A little unfair dont you think? Don't know what to say - he was a pick ahead of you so I don't think that's particularly unfair, just bad luck. As for the time limit, I did the same thing for Oldschool and I intended to go through the same process for everyone else as well. As for your pick, you would have been able to make the pick as soon as you replied to the thread. I wouldn't have picked for you unless you asked me to do so. We will not be auto-picking at all next year, I think we will simply drop the 4th round since the caliber of player drops quite a bit. For those who have traded for a future 4th round pick, we will make up a "3rd round compensatory" pick that will be at the end of the third round. It wasn't my intent for this last round to fall so flat. However my perspective is to go with what works and throw out what doesn't. I can't reasonably track down posters sending multiple PMs for every pick. Given the very tepid response so far in the 4th, I'm essentially letting it go since I know it won't be around next year. I suppose you can just auto-pick for me next year your next best player available. I get its the 4th round. But to arbitrarily change rules is weak. I get I dont post often, but Ive been around a loooong time too. Long term, successful leagues happen because they are fair. Auto-picking your next best player for a popular board mate then giving the next guy on the clock an hour compared to the day you gave oldschool isnt fair. At least recognize that. However, I only traded my 3rd round because I knew Id get the early 4th rounder (it was a selling point with my trade partner). I also knew that it was unlikely my RB would be taken since so many already were. A fair gamble until you come in with autopicking BPA. I dont even want to bitch so Im hating myself for it. Just dont think it was fair. Then the time limit you gave me pissed me off even more considering you didnt gave him the same limit as we have been waiting since yesterday for his pick. I made the pick because he asked me to make the pick for him. You can argue whether or not I should be willing to make picks for other teams and that's fine, but the fact that I would do so for any other member in the league is what makes it fair. You're upset because I gave him a pick that you wanted. If I had tried to "stick it" to him by giving him the worst player I could think of, I don't think there would be much contest from other teams. My interest is in a healthy, competitive league though. And to that extent I gave one of the worst teams in the league last a year the best player available in order to improve the parity of the league. As for the time limit, there was over four hours from Oldschool's pick to yours. I planned on doing the same for the subsequent pick as well. I realize there was no notice given, and should we have an issue next year I will send out a mass email via Yahoo to let teams know that we will be instituting a clock.
