Stranger Posted December 16, 2014 Report Share Posted December 16, 2014 I usually only play one league per season, but decided to try 2 this year. I had a rough season in both, going on winning and losing streaks, and finishing off 6-7 in one league, and 7-6 in the other. To my surprise, I managed to make the playoffs as the 2nd to last seed in the 1st league, and the last seed in the 2nd one. In the 1st league, I was bounced in the 1st round and am now playing for 7th place in a consolation game. Even more to my surprise, I'm in the championship game in the 2nd league, and currently projected to win. If I manage to win, it will be the 1st time in many years that I've won a FF championship. Granted it's free and there is no prize other than bragging rights, but I'll be happy nonetheless. Is anyone else playing for their leagues championship? I am in 5 championships and am playing for a difference of $1000 if I win them all or lose them all. I am still guaranteed probably 500 or so (440 was break even). In another I'm in, I'm in the championship but projected to lose by 10. Don't even remember the payout for this one. In the keeper league I've been in for years, i got knocked out last night, which sucks but it wasn't for money. In an IDP league I'm in, I'm in the championship (it's two weeks long) and favored to win. 1st gets $160, 2nd gets $60 Lastly in a restraunt league I'm in with some folks in other restraunts, the championship is week 17 which is stupid, but I'm still in it and have destroyed that league so hopefully all goes well. Guest Posted December 16, 2014 Report Share Posted December 16, 2014 I run a league that doesn't have playoffs and instead plays 17 weeks. Best record wins. Currently I'm tied with 2 other guys atop the standings at 10-5 and still play both of them. We also have 8 of the 12 teams with 8-7 or better records so 75% of the league can still finish in the money. The great thing is that we also have a slot for high scorer and it looks like one of the 4-8 teams is going to win that. I love this format and will never switch back to playoffs.
