scine09
.....and ignore the fact the offense is 32nd in 3rd down conversion rate. There are problems everywhere....offense, defense, lack of star power, bottom of the roster depth. That'll improve. I think that the talent is there on the OL. I would have Stingly play RT and do one of two things. Either move Oher inside to LG or release Oher, start Spencer at center and move Schwenke to LG. That would make the OL much better and would instantly improve 3rd down efficiency and the running game will look a lot better. I really don't think the offense is an issue. Sure it needs reinforcements. They'll add a WR or two. Thompson will be back. Maybe they'll add another blocking TE.

scine09
Stingly and Spencer aren't under contract for 2015. So sign them. They'll be cheap and they know the system. In fact I think it's a no-brainer to bring both back. Having continuity on the o-line is only a good thing.

Having continuity on the o-line is only a good thingy You already said upthread that the talent was already on the roster for the OL. Then you said focus the entire offseason on the pass rush. Which is it? What I'm saying is that its not so simple as to say fix the pass rush. There are problems everywhere, including offensive 3rd down conversion. I don't think they have to spend a lot on the OL as the players on the roster right now can make the line solid next year improving the entire offense. The pass rush to me is the biggest need and that's where I'd put most of my resources.
Bobo
We should have been seeing from game 1 if Stingily could handle RT. As bad as Levitre was, they probably could have used him there (and I wonder if we'd be better off with trying him there next year and trying to go with Roos or someone else at RT). Oh well. Maybe the remaining games will be enough to get a clearer picture for the OL, and it's obvious Tommy is giving the ok to shake things up.

I agree about the pass rush and there are multiple ways to improve it, including free agency and the second round which has a good amount of pass rushers. I do think a stud WR to help Mett is another big need. They have no one, absolutely no one, behind Wright and Hunter. scine09
ZEPPELIN
I don't expect us to be a playoff contender next season. We certainly can't and shouldn't try to buy our way to the playoffs and we have too many holes to fill. We need help in every position group. This team is currently bottom of the barrel bad and with the complete dumbass moves Webster has made over the last few years, I don't see us being any good any time soon. I also think Whisenhunt may be a really bad coach, but I am not willing to proclaim that just yet. His play calling and decisions this year have been very questionable. Bottom line though, our roster is almost totally devoid of talent. We have 8 or 10 players who you would want on any team, but other than that we have a bunch of untalented scrubs. The idea of us building a super bowl caliber team with this owner, GM, and coach is a huge crack pipe dream IMO.

ctm
ctm has turned into Evan Silva! Different year. I think the team has regressed. It is now bottom 3-4.

OILERMAN
* Anyone think J.J. Watt would like to play the Titans every single week?. In two games this season J.J. Watt had:6 tackles, 4 Sacks, 3 tackle for loss, 8 hits on the QB, 1 pass defensed, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery and 1 catch for a TD. Including knocking the starting QB out of the game. 20 impact plays in two games by one player. Look at Watt's stat line today: 3 sacks, 4 tackle for losses, 4 QB hits and 1 pass defensed. This guy is unreal

Face
Look at Watt's stat line today: 3 sacks, 4 tackle for losses, 4 QB hits and 1 pass defensed. This guy is unreal PFF had an article on him. What's even crazier is this year they line him up all over & he's just as dominant. When they've lined him up as a 4-3 DE he's been the best in the league at that. I remember he lined up on Tyron Smith, possibly the best LT in the league, and he blew by him, he looked like Kearse in his prime. They basically said he can lineup anywhere in a 4-3 or 3-4 front, 1 or 2 gap, and be totally dominant. I think it's already btwn him & Reggie for best D player ever. It's so depressing we took Locker. OILERMAN, and Thrill
Guest
Watt just might be the most impactful defensive lineman I have ever seen in my life.
