Face
My goodness talk about numbers not telling the entire story. 3 TD's to 1 pick but he was putrid the entire game, his 3 TD's were one yard dump offs on PA to wide open RB's & TE's, and 2 of them were on drives where the running game basically took them down the entire field. Missed a bunch of wide open WR's down the field, all night. He was flat out bad. I actually think the media & personnel types are going to start asking questions about Luck, as they should. No question the guy is tremendous but this talk about him being in the Manning, Brady, Brees, and Rodgers class is silly. Frankly Rivers blows him away as well. This is year 3 now, the excuses of him having no talent around him don't fly anymore, his running game was excellent, he has 2 talented TE's and a decent set of WR's. Right now he's much more Big Ben than Manning, and there's nothing wrong with that, but enough of this best player in the league crap.
Guest
He definitely has shit for talent around him. But he is also over rated.
Guest
Lol. You need to drop this nonsense. He's carried that team from day one and has to overcome terrible coaching.

Face
He definitely has shit for talent around him. But he is also over rated. Very overrated tgo. Like I said in another thread, very good QB in the 5-8 range, not close to the top guys. The whole "he has the worst team in the history of football" around him deal only lasts for so long. Eventually he's going to have to put up a 100 QB rating, at least if he wants to maintain the status he currently enjoys as a top QB.

He sucked tonight plain & simple. If we're gonna rip our QB for his Opening Day game, however rightfully so, and say the stats were misleading, well, this game tonight by Luck was the definition of that. And what's nonsense? I said he's in the 5-8 range, which is spot on.
Jamalisms
I wish Locker would throw a three TD misleading game. He's only ever thrown three TDs one damn time in the NFL. The guy is allergic to TDs. Anyone want to count how many times Luck has thrown three TDs?
Face
Nick Foles played beautifully tonight. His one pick came on a long pass at the end of the half with 30 seconds left that easily could've been a completion. It was really just a throwaway pass. The best part is if you take away all of Sproles yards he still threw for more yards than Luck, on the road. His career rating is a 100, Luck 81.6. Almost a 20 point difference, not quite. Locker career completion% 57.5 Luck career completion% 57.4 Locker career rating 81.5 Luck career rating 81.6 .1 difference on both, they both suck!!!!! TitansWycheck89
He really can't win the big one. Couldn't beat USC and lost to Oregon a lot. But I would take him in a heart beat.

Face
I guess they play football on computerized stat generators nowadays, huh? Of course I don't think these 2 are equals, I'm obviously joking. But don't think there isn't a double standard here, Locker had a 22/33 266 2 TD game & was criticized, the narrative for many was he wasn't as good as his stats. Fine, that certainly could've been the case. But we all saw Luck tonight & he sucked, big time. His TD passes were literally the 3 easiest I've ever seen in my life. He threw one pick & had another one that hit the DB right in the hands in the end zone, the easiest pick ever, and he dropped it. On top of that, his last 2 drives ended with a pick & a horrible incompletion. The guy was bad tonight, he had one impressive drive where he carried the team, that's it. If we can all diminish our QB's Opening day game I think we can certainly do the same for this stinker. And BTW, yeah, numbers do matter. Eventually, when you're a "generational" QB prospect, middling stats & 10 win seasons aren't gonna cut it anymore. Having the same completion % & QB rating as Jake Locker isn't gonna cut it anymore, especially when you have the ball down by a TD & go 4 & out & lose and have the ball the next week in a tie game & go 3 & out and lose.
