His main problem was he doesn't play STs and they had a guy, Ethan Westbrooks who looks like an animal. Westbrook can play DE or DT and has been destroying OL. I have no idea where they got him from but he's a future probowler. And the other DE looked great. If you exclude Casey they literally have 6 DL better than our next guy. Even though it's very early I'm sure Fish is kicking himself at not taking Bortles now. Can't blame him, Robinson was being compared to Orlando Pace (which was nuts, Pace should have won the Heisman he was so dominant), everybody had him ranked well higher than BB. But if he had Bortles with that DL they'd be set for years to come. Plus I hear really good things about TJ McDonald & Lamarcus Joyner. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

The guy is a wrecking ball for sure. I never understood the Fish hate here, seriously, why do so many want the guy to fail? He loved the organization & was the face of it during the best years. I get wanting a new coach, you want change after awhile, but why all the bitterness? It's kind of a shame, you almost feel like he was never here, like it was a clean split. Was this really all over VY? I'll flat out say I want him to succeed, it's not like I sit there rooting for the Rams but I like to see them do well. Most others want him to suck & get fired. Most fans love a long time coach, our fan base hates the guy. Ok, he obviously wasn't Don Shula but the guy was a good coach, a very good coach. I get rooting against the Rams in a friendly, competitive sort of way but that's not the case, a lot of fans want him to totally fail & I don't know why. As unfair as it may be the VY saga or feud, whatever you want to call it, really damaged him in a lot of fans eyes. It's total bullshit of course, Fish was the best coach he ever could have had. Could you imagine what Jim Harbaugh would've done with VY for example? Andy Reid wouldn't even keep him as a backup after one year. But it still completely changed Fish's standing with the fans, as stupid as it is a big % of the fanbase thinks he ruined VY or had it out for him. Face Posted August 31, 2014 Report Share Posted August 31, 2014 One other thing, I'm convinced something happened behind the scenes that led to bad blood between Fisher & the organization. Things have just seemed chilly since he left. I don't think him & Munchak were exactly buddy buddy. When we played the Rams this year there were no nice things said from either side, in fact there was nothing said at all. I don't recall Fisher talking to any of his ex players much before or after the game, it was like he never coached the Titans. Both Fish & Munch basically didn't comment leading up to the game & barely shook hands. It was strange. On top of that there's been a couple players who left, namely Finnegan, Tulloch, and WIlliam Hayes who seem to really be bitter towards the team. It's more than the typical wanting to show your old team up. I think William Hayes went nuts when they lost to us last year. Weird. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
