Mercalius
Take the following for what it's worth. Sent in an e-mail to "Moving The Chains". This is the 2-6 CST show on Sirius NFL Radio. In the response, co-host Jim Miller said that the word on the street is that Whisenhunt chose Locker over Stafford. Any particulars?
Hammer
No Merc. That is all Mills said. No further details.
AFCman
Stafford is known. Locker still has a question mark. And potential. And if all fails, there is the draft. The Titans have more clay to work with and mold than Detroit.
N/A
Unless one with high odds of doing well in Whisenhunt's offense in draft or veteran QB that a team will deal is available at a fair price, then QB will not be addressed this year. I think the Titans are actually putting together a long view team, and how many wins and losses this year is way down on their goals for this year - building a team that is long term viable team is the goal above all. Number9
The Titans started out 3-1 before Locker's first injury and Locker was playing as well or better than Wilson in that stretch. How hard is that to understand? Just like the Pitt game for Locker (a win) Wilson has games where he doesn't have to throw for 300 yards to win. Wilson had 6 TDs and 2 ints over hat stretch. Locker had 6 TDs and zero ints. And what game in that 3-1 stretch (remember the only loss was the OT loss to the Texans) was Locker getting garbage yards when the team was out of the game? Surely you aren't that stupid? The post was in response to a post about Locker not EVER showing he could be the guy. For 4 games Locker was showing he could be he guy potentially. This just proves how tainted some of the thinking is on this board really can be. The kid goes out for the first 4 games, doesn't turn the ball over and we almost win all 4. Then a few weeks later that is completely forgotten and some how he has never had a good game. I point out ha for that stretch he was on a par with Wilson in his play and it is too complicated to understand? Really? Locker also had late game heroics in that stretch of games in the SD game, a game where he threw for 299 yards. Locker has only started 18 NFL games and he played in some of those where he wasn't 100% Now with that said I do agree Locker might no be the kind of QB Wiz wants. I'm not sure Locker is smart enough. Sox. In your original post I responded to**you made reference to Jake's performance against SF. That is where the garbage yards reference came from. Maybe he did throw for 300+ yards, but the team was getting crushed when he got those TDs. Your Wilson comparison is poor, because Wilson can play like that all year and Jake's longest healthy season in three full games. Put Jake on the Seahawks team and he's available one fourth of the time Wilson is. I will try to just let the Locker thing rest. Neither one of us believes that Whisenhunt is going to be idiotic enough to come here and place all his efforts and the team's resources on the back of Jake Locker. We both agree. So, I am done arguing it.
