ShaderX
I guess it's not really important if we sign him. Apparently we'd be just as good without him.

scine09
Scine and Zeppelin may lay on the street preventing CJ and his agent from driving in to BSP. lol I have no issue with the Titans signing Johnson. It's not my money. From everything I hear I think Reinfeld knows that a running back is a running back, nothing more.
abenjami
Scine and Zeppelin may lay on the street preventing CJ and his agent from driving in to BSP. Maybe Scine will hire a few retired centers to block them?

Cyrus
I wonder if it's just a coincidence that this is happening after training camp. My gut instinct is to say no.
CMJ
I wonder if it's just a coincidence that this is happening after training camp. My gut instinct is to say no. No, indeed. CJ has been Favre-ing it.
cenj
Wyatt spent a long time being a useless journalist, thanks to Fisher's 'my way or the highway' approach to Nashville media. Now he's attempting to do a little bit of what most sports journalists in normal cities do: create some conflict, stoke the fire, and keep controversy going to create enough interest to keep reading his stuff -- whether you think he's right or wrong. "Everything is OK" does not sell papers. Wyatt in the offseason was doing a decent job trying to break stories and get some details about stuff the titans probably preferred to keep under wraps. He wasn't great at it, but hey -- it's a start. Although nowadays, nothing really sells papers. Except homeless people on street corners.
cenj
I wonder if it's just a coincidence that this is happening after training camp. My gut instinct is to say no. I mean, did anyone seriously not see this coming? We've been calling it from day 1. It's all business posturing and attempts by each side to get the best deal. CJ wants to be here, and the Titans brass wants him here. Both the stubbornness of CJ and the cheapness of Bud have been greatly exaggerated by posters with personal agendas. FightinTitan
The Fitzgerald deal may have really screwed MR's initial plans and approach to a new deal.
Cyrus
The Fitzgerald deal may have really screwed MR's initial plans and approach to a new deal. I think Segal may use it as a bargaining tool but I don't know if in the grand scheme of things if it will be significant at all. I think Segal's goal is to get somewhere around $12-13M per season and both sides probably know that. Ultimately they may compromise around the $11M range with the first 3 years guaranteed. cenj
I'm expecting a heavily front-loaded deal, probably with numbers more in line with CJ's demands (but not Fitz money). I'm sure there will be incentives that make it look real nice for the first 3 years. But I think the guaranteed money from 4+ is going to be more favorable for the Titans. Omar
I wonder if it's just a coincidence that this is happening after training camp. My gut instinct is to say no. I thought the same thing when I heard he was coming in tommorrow. If he gets signed this week it's prob not a bad thing at all, saves some wear and tear on his body for sure.
