@OILERMAN-Very good article. Willing to take a position and bring out some new angles makes for good reading. I saw some of the same points @Mercalius questioned, but Andy Reed can bring a QB around fast. I think the Titans need to be quick in getting either Hunter or Preston on the field. Get them out there before teams wake up on them and they still have that spring in their step. The Titans need to gamble and take some risks to break out into the next level. Maybe these young guys don't have every thing down, but they could blow a game wide open with a couple of plays.

The "Bubbas"

My vision of this year is starting to fall apart. This guy was supposed to be starting talent who was wasting away playing behind Suh and Farley. Then when I try to find some facts to build a case for the guy, he's only averaging one tackle per game over a four year period and one sack per year. Then the hard hitting safety we stole from the cap strapped Ravens tackles worse than Michael Griffin and is twerking in tight panties in the locker room.

Just trying to drink my Kool-Aid and hold out hope that somehow, this year, some things just might work out for the Titans.

Not 2nd string? Not 3rd string? But 4th string... So the Titans gave him 11m, 4m guaranteed. Now he is penciled in as starting for the Titans. I think the guy was supposed to be better than that. When they signed him the story was he was playing behind to very good players and needed a chance. I willing to wait until the season starts before labeling another Titan a bust.

In seriousness, it is too early to say a lot about a dt. None of them are loaded up with tackles. Again, the plays I have keyed on him he held his ground on running plays and I saw him push him man back enough to disrupt the pocket on another.

I haven't watched Hill closely on every play, but saying he's not worth his contract is a little much. Britt dropped that easy catch, but it would be premature to say he was not worth his contract. Is Hill dominating every play? No. But he did get his hands up and bat down the pass. If it was JJ Swat, it would be a great play, even if he was not getting penetration.

If he wets the bed, they will have to bring in somebody. The Titans are still openly trying to sell tickets. People like Jake for his character and work ethic. To get their love, he's going to have to earn it on the field. I like to short passing game he has shown so far. It's time to see him put the whole package together, now.

@JasonHall it will be better to write an article here about just one aspect of Jake's game. Most of the guys here follow the team pretty closely and have seen/heard/wrote all the general stuff. One guy you overlooked is Sammie Hill. They added him to the dl. He had a batted down pass in the second game and I have seen him get some good push on early passing downs. He doesn't get a lot of cred around here, but I think he's going to be a good improvement to the dl.

I love the Titans, but I am still not sold on Jake or this defense producing 10-6. WELCOME!!

As banged up as the Redskins are, the defense should shine. RG3, Morris, Garcon and I think Davis are out.

I think a statement like that "versatile" should be backed up with examples of what the player has done in the past to merit the comment.

I think you are correct in that it will take fire breathing dragons to wipe out the others. Arya is one of my favorites, but she seems lost from it all. If he finishes the series, I will read the books, but it's hard to figure out because serious characters get wiped out. I can't go into it, but a coming character "Reek" is amusing. The tv series can't develop them all, so Reek may not get a big part.

I have gone through the whole series. I am Ok with him not writing any more. I really thought the last few books lost something.

I have been waiting until this part came. George R. R. Martin will ice any character. It makes the books real because you do not know what in going to happen next. Walter Frey is the most devious character in the books. There was a lot more to the wedding feast that lead up to it's bloody ending, but the HBO rendition is very, very good. In real life the fair haired boy does not win all the battles. Rob wanted to be King, but he did not have the real character to be King. He had a little too much Eddard Stark in him.

They are just jealous of your brilliance.

@Jamalisms Outstanding breakdown of dropped passes. VY was the victim of a ton of drops. The MNF Game in Denver was horrible.

BUT.................

The series is awesome. I have watched every episode more than once. This season is kickass. I listen to audio books. Each GOT audio book is 37+ hours long. Awesome miniseries coming "Under the Dome" by Stephen King.

I agree. A tv series can do a better job than a movie, but these books are so large even a 10 hour series in not enough.

CJ is not an every down back. I am glad we got Greene to share carries. The two combined should have a dynamic effect on the Titans run game. Easy to shoot holes in CJ, but the bottom line is the Titans improved the run game.
