Preds re-signed Rich Clune to a 2 yr/1.7 million contract today.  Good extension.  Love this guy.

Love Clune. That guy is a friggin classic hockey player. No primadonna in that dude.

For those wondering, two good options for Tennessee Titans/Nashville Predators combo weekend:

Here's one thing that worries me about the Predators...how they are treating their long time season ticket holders.  Our neighbors have had season tickets since day one.  Go to every game.  Their seats are center ice, upper level but on the first row of the upper deck.  Decent seats.  They have had their tickets go up most every year as you would expect and they have paid the increase.  They have 2 tickets, so that isn't chump change by any means.  This year they were told their tickets were going up over 30% on each seat.  That is a significant increase.  They chose not to renew because it is just too much money.  I was stunned when they told me.  They were ones that when the franchise was in trouble of moving paid for their season tickets up front to show support.  I just would think that the Preds would show as much loyalty to the long time fans as they have to them.

Hadn't heard about increases being this bad. That sucks.

Are you sure?  I haven't really heard much uproar about prices going up from the friends of mine that do have season tickets.

 

League-wide, tickets have gone up between 2-15% depending on the team.  30% doesn't sound right, no offense.  I'd heard a couple of months back (can't find the thread on HF) that prices had gone up, I believe it was around 5-6% for the Preds which seems about right compared to the other teams.  I can't find concrete info on the 2012 prices, but the 2013 prices don't seem unreasonable.
