I want Eddy Lacy

Lacy would be perfect for the power running offense the Titans want to employ.

Stevens and Thompson with Lacy in the backfield would offer a real power element. It would put Locker is good down and distance situations and help control the clock and time of possession. This would offer up a real playction passing game.

I'd like to see the Titans first two picks be skill players, WR and RB.

This offense needs skill players that can help get points on the board.

You can still get quality interior OL in the mid rounds and they can still use free agency for the OL.

Everything points to the first two picks being some combination of OL/DB. So I would say there is a better chance we get Chance Womack than his teammate, Eddie Lacy.

The ultimate risk/reward RB, if you can get him late, is Knile Davis.

Everything points to that? Hardly.... there have been nothing but vague comments coming from the Titans about concepts regarding certain position groups.

"Based off of info from sources with the Titans, right now I think this pick will come down to Warmack, DeMarcus Milliner, Johnthan Banks or Jonathan Cooper. Desmond Trufant could also become an option. General manager Ruston Webster knows the Washington program well and that was a big factor in the Titans selecting Jake Locker. Tennessee has to improve the talent in its vulnerable secondary and offensive line. Webster has scouted the SEC hard, so I think he'll draft frequently from the nation's top conference. "

If I remember correctly, this source is the one that said that the Titans wanted a CB last year. But because the top 2 guys, Gilmore and Kirpatrick, were off the board the Titans were forced to go in another direction.

And in that mock, Gilmore and Kirpatrick, were off the board. They even made a note that the Titans were looking for a CB an said Kirpatrick was a possibility.

I really like Lacy as well. Maybe we could trade down with Cincinnati and take Cooper, then trade back into the first for Lacy. Of course, that would require not one but two draft day trades, but other teams have done it before--maybe we surprise.

If we're looking to improve the team as fast as possible, the Lacy pick makes a lot of sense - assuming we at least address the OL in FA and later rounds of the draft.

If we walked out of the first two rounds with Lacy, a WR like Hunter, or one of the stud "E" Tight Ends, we'd have made a lot of strides to giving Locker as much help as possible.

Like Bink said though, I'd love a trade scenario where we'd somehow manage to get both Cooper and Lacy, but given our history of standing pat on draft day - I just don't see it happening.
