Does anyone think ND is going to beat Bama?

VOLS will always have trouble recruiting. Same with Vandy. But Vandy is making gains because of Franklin who's a real go-getter and a winner.

The VOLS and Vandy aren't as "sexy" as Florida, LSU, Georgia, or Alabama.

Countless kids have stated that they want to play in the SEC because they are the best. Many kids outside the SEC area or in SEC states with ACC and Big East teams select the conference first and then the team. How do you think Ole Miss got their foot in the door for the #1 recruit in Illinois and several of the top kids in Indiana? Recruiting seems to have become easier for TAM as well since changing conferences. They're picking TAM rather than play in the BIG 12 against lesser opponents (on the average). Just last week Texas was sitting at 13 commitments while TAM was in the neighborhood of 30. In the past it was usually the other way around. Additionally Texas just tried and failed to prey away an Ole Miss commit. It's probable that several years ago Texas would have crooked their finger and he would have gone running or they would have been so full they wouldn't have spoken to him.

Oh and CTF--we all know how you feel--no need to waste your time reminding us. Grin.

Yes, this. Also, you have to think about how exposure factors into things. Maybe you aren't quite on the level of Alabama or LSU but are still a heck of a talent. Do you want to be a Vol, playing against Alabama on CBS--or do you want to be a Longhorn throwing down against Texas Tech? I think you want the potential to play against consistent threats to win National Championships. If you are a stud DT and Chance Warmack makes you look bad people will credit the Bama o-line. But if you blow up Warmack on National TV, all of a sudden you are more visible and viable as a draft prospect.
