Hard to find many other supporters to talk soccer unless its a pretty big site like BigSoccer.

If so, what teams do you follow?

I tend to keep track of Jozy, Bradley, and Dempsey.

I keep track of Arsenal, D.C United, Sporting KC, and RSL. I may have to start keeping up with Portland now that they have Porter as a coach and are going to try to play a fluid/attacking 4-3-3. They are making some interesting moves.

Anyone else?

Is it wrong that I've given up on Jozy ever being as good as he should?

No, but it may be a bit premature. He just scored a brace for his club. He's scoring a lot in the dutch league. I'm hoping that JK can get more out of him.

Having said that, I'm glad we have others coming up the pipline like Boyd and Bunbury- more typical target men too.

I've wondered a lot if, despite his size, he's just not a target man. The dutch style is much more open, so he's not been asked to play with his back to the goal as much. Hernandez (if I am spelling that correctly) is the top scorer for the Mexicans, but he's not a target man. The build up style that JK is trying to instill in the youth ranks doesnt depend as much on target men, as Bradley's more direct style. *shrugs*

You played in South America correct? Did they utilize target men as much?

Well, like I said, my experience was more about figuring out that even scrubs in Argentina were on my level or better. I did not play at a high level, I played in the Rosarina for a club (acording to Wiki) that is now in the C division. C division of a lower level league... not nearly as glamorous as it sounds, nor as orgainized as higher level clubs.

Experience of a lifetime, however.

Do you a cultural style persisted down to that level?

Why ManU? Do you follow US Soccer at all?

My Dad supports them and you usually always support the team that your parents support. I don't really follow US soccer that much, still not at a high enough level to get on the tv much over here.

I'm partial to Liverpool since that's my old man's club... but I haven't gotten back involved in the soccer community since I moved to Milwaukee a decade ago, so I have nobody to discuss it with really. That, combined with the general fight one must endure to get quality coverage on a regualr basis... I just don't watch like I used to.

I meant the national team. I didn't notice until this post, that you are actually currently located in the UK.

I am born and bred in England! One of the few Tennessee Titans fans from abroad. On the national team, the US have a decent group of players, Dempsey is easily your best talent but he's a total punk.

I struggle with the same. I watch on a particular site, that I've mentioned before- but not as regularly as I like. I do have MLS league pass. I am trying to get into MLS just because its easier to follow than EPL. Still very difficult. I am much more into soccer and more knowlegable about its inner workings than football. I don't miss a US national game though.

lol no doubt.

Bradley is catching him I think. Donovan has the talent, but seems to have absolutely no drive. The opposite of Deuce and Bradley.

Its frustrating the size of our country and the quality of our athletes in many sports- yet we can't produce the level of talent that many much smaller nations do.
