I felt it was too 'old peopleish' for me, but by the 3rd episode I started to enjoy it. A Stranger Things mystery at a slower pace. This bunch doesn't ride bicycles. Liked it mostly but definitely parts way less than ideal. Felt a little too lab grown, like a pitch meeting of Stranger Things meets Cocoon meets ET with too many on the nose call backs to them along with an '80s Spielberg Amazing Stories vibe. A mish mash of what would sell rather than something original. And watching Geena Davis try to act through what is a Halloween mask of plastic surgery is pretty painful. Great cast and all. Yoshimitsu Posted June 8 Report Share Posted June 8 It’s okay. I haven’t finished it yet. It loses steam midway through the season. If you want a better show that’s similar (but a LOT better) I’d go with Widow’s Bay. It’s the best merging of comedy and horror in a long while.
