Go through the top pass defenses. Who is more than 2 or 3 players deep? Add another decent guy in the mix an we're about as deep as anyone. Fact.

5 or 6 deep? The Titans have two quality CBs and Verner may be viewed as depth/nickel even still.

They will get a quality CB once the off season starts. They are not letting Finny go because they believe they are fine at the position.

Kuharsky disagrees. His article seems to argue, as do I, that they believe they are fine at CB specifically because they can go get somebody you would call 'quality'.

Finny's departure is, therefore, not hamstringing them at the position. How is it both a big deal but they can/will replace him with 'quality?'

Yea I believe they'll try. What's the point? You're the one saying they are fine at the position, not me.

How would the ability to do that not make them fine at the position? They have enough talent and options (internal, FA, and the draft) that they will be fine at CB.

What I don't understand, is how you can point out that they'll sign a quality vet to add to Verner and McCourty but then act like the position is in trouble without Finny.

You've argued that they would be fine with Verner and JM, you didn't say they'd be fine with them plus a free agent starter.

If the team signs a starter they clearly do not think they are fine at the position.

The comments regarding Verner and McCourty were from the perspective of losing Finny, not those two on an island. The point has always been that they have enough depth that Finny is not as necessary as some feel. That doesn't mean they won't draft or sign others. It means the group will be fine without Finny, unlike a situation where they have Finny and some scrubs.

Heck for half the time we've been discussing it (on the podcast) we were months away from FA with no idea who would even be available. Of course I haven't been discussing FAs the whole time.

It is essentially the same position laid out by Kuharaky, as I've already stated in the first post. We let him go because he wanted a ton of money and we'll be fine without him.
