You buy the current Madden right after the Super Bowl for like $10 bucks tops and just update the rosters. 

 

Not much changes with each release but it's fun to play a game or two and drop it a few weeks later when you get tired of it.

i wish we would've entered the other dimension where the NFL didn't award the license exclusivity to EA, that was a terrible decision. I might be a bit bias since I much preferred NFL2K, especially when they added 1st person mode, the Cribs was pretty cool too. can only imagine how good a 2K NFL title would be with 20 years of development. I'd wager it'd be a much better product.

i downloaded and played Madden 21 on Gamepass when it came out. I uninstalled it about an hour later. I'd just soon not play at all then to play that.

each to their own I suppose. I mean, it is the only game in town. just wish all the Maddenites would get together and revolt

I did like you said and got it threw a subscription to try it and it isn't that bad if you edit the ever living help out of the sliders. For example on all madden you have to drop the cpu throw accuracy to around 10 to get anything reassembling realistic cpu qb stats. On standard sliders you can have an all pro defense and play against haskins and he will have a 80% completion ratings if you don't cheese interceptions.

 

Edit: there are things you can't fix because of the stupid engine and I wish I had the pc version to try since I am sure they have some good mods for it but atm all I have is a ps4 and I'm not dropping full price to see.
