GS and BOS are the only two that are obviously better. We'll see what happens with CC and HOU. But top 5 is a possibility.

Ppl keep sleeping on our young guys. They'll see. And we actually have depth now as well.

Top 5 is a possibility for the Rockets? Even without Ariza and Mbah a Moute you can't possibly name 5 teams better than them.

Your young guys are still years away from being great, if indeed they ever become so. By then LeBron will be nearing retirement.

Says the guy who thinks Capela is already the best up and coming C.....And Capela is never going to be great. 13 and 11 is nothing special.....He has no offensive game whatsoever.  His scoring is 100% dependent on an easy put backs or CP or Harden setting him up for a easy dunk.

Outside of Gordon, your depth is absolute trash. Nene is a year older, not that his 7 pts and 3 rb were much to begin with. MCW is ass. I like Green but he is so so. Who starts? Melo, Tucker, or Anderson? Either way, Anderson is ass, Melo is all offensive and Tucker is mostly all defensive. Very little versatility.

Wow, where to start. Your complete lack of respect for Capela shows your high level of ignorance. Nothing special my ass, dude's a beast.

Only four players in NBA history averaged 13 PPG in a season while making 65% of their FG's: W. Chamberlain, A. Gilmore, Gobert, and CLINT CAPELA!

He's easily one of the top two-way centers in the game today. You talk about his lack of offense, but he's one of the most athletic centers in the NBA.

OK, he's not a great shooter or passer like Jokic, so what? Besides those two attributes, Capela is superior in every other way. Especially on defense.

Capela runs the fast-break better than any center in the NBA today. So your saying "he has no offensive game whatsoever" is 100% pure ignorance.

And the Rockets' depth is absolute trash outside of Gordon? I suppose Rondo, Hart, Stephenson, and Zubac are better than what Houston has, right?

Now they finally got rid of Anderson (and you're right for once, he is ass) but you underestimate Tucker even more than you do Capela. Big time!

Let's look at who the best 3-point shooters were in last season's playoffs, OK? Among the top 20 players in 3-pt. attempts, who had the best 3 pt. FG%?

The answer: PJ Tucker! His 46.7% 3-point shooting (75 attempts) was better than Klay (42.7% on 157 attempts) and Curry (39.5% on 162 attempts).

So much for very little versatility, but he'll likely be starting ahead of Melo anyway. And defensively, Tucker is even more versatile than Ariza or LMAM.

And you think Ariza is so much better than Tucker, but which one made just 28.6% of his threes in the playoffs (including 0-9 in game 7 of the WCF)?

That's right, Ariza. In getting rid of Anderson they acquired Brandon Knight and Marquese Chriss who both played substantial minutes with the Suns.

But neither of them will likely play that many minutes for Houston. Not because they're ass, but because the Rockets depth is NOT absolute trash.

Gordon, Melo, Green, Nene, Chriss, Knight, and MCW are definitely a better bench than Kuzma, Rondo, Stephenson, Hart, Zubac, Beasley, and Wagner.

Where does it say it's because of LBJ? No reports Ive seen mentioned that.

Either way, he isn't a cornerstone player. Won't be for a team that has the chance to win anything anyway. Would love to see him rot in Clipper land.

So, he has a problem with his young teammates in MINN, but wants to go to an even younger Knicks or Clippers team?

Lmao.

Great, let him go. Rather have AD, KL, or Kemba anyway.

He doesn't want to win. Just wants to be "the man" without really doing anything to be "the man".

Although upon second look it wasn't Butler, but league sources that said it.

Who says Lakers don't have any 3 ball shooters?

I dunno, their stats from last season maybe? They were 29th in the NBA while shooting 34.5% from three, only the 21-61 Suns were worse. :lolabove:

Oh wait, you mean this year. Right? They added all those great 3-point shooters to their roster:

  1. LeBron: 34.4%
  2. Rondo: 30.9%
  3. Stephenson: 30.3%
  4. Beasley: 35.2% (that's really good by Lakers standards!)
  5. Wagner: 38.5% at Michigan (there you go, they do have at least one 3-ball shooter!)

The postseason chances for Portland, New Orleans, and the Lakers have skyrocketed lately with all that's going on in the West right now.

Minnesota is screwed right now with the Butler situation, the Spurs lost Murray for the year, and Roberson's injury hurts OKC's chances too.

Hart shot 39%

KCP at 38%

Ingram at 39%

But I can understand why you conveniently excluded them from your biased list.

Weren't those guys already on the team and included in the stats of LA's shooting last year?

Why would he include them on a list of players the Lakers added?

I didn't see him say "added".

And he's a dumbass for that comment anyway. Who said we "added" great three point shooters?

Huh? It's actually a very obvious train of thought... He's very clearly saying you guys didn't improve on your 3 pt shooting

I actually agree with Jake that the Lakers are on the rise, but his takes are so homerish and bad I can't even support him. Like the shit about DJ--watch the basketball dude.

Of course they are on the rise, anyone with half a brain agrees and they are pretty much as much of a lock for playoffs as you can get. But yeah, it's his obnoxious and over the top grandstanding that makes him insufferable

You have no idea wtf you're talking about because you're ignoring what I was saying.

And if you want to respond to me, quote me or tag me. Don't do it in a sneaky bitch ass manner.

LOL. You're going to check this thread any way. I'm not being "sneaky"... I'm not some fucking retard like you, honestly, how the fuck did something so dumb even cross your mind

Which part?

Let me prove you wrong....

Let's see if you provide examples...

Bet you cant...

Would really love to see it.

Which part of all your posts is Lakers grandstanding?!?! you can't be serious

Why would that question cross yours if you already think I'm dumb?

Being dumb?

OF manufactured a argument to imply we don't have 3 ball shooters. But we do. His train of though, as you put it, was to imply we don't have 3 ball shooters.

We do. More than HOU in fact....

If that's how you feel, it should be easy for you to provide examples...

So stop beating around the bush and provide them.

Every post where you get so defensive about anything OF says or continue a fucking 4 post conversation just trying to prove some point or shove anything Lakers down this site's throat. You even bring Lonzo into the fucking Football forum. I don't know what you are confused about.

I actually think you are pretty reasonable when it comes to actually talking facts in basketball, but you have to be a fucking retard to think that you aren't grandstanding

Just to prove a point. Make a big deal about it.

But because I'm passionate about it, I'm grandstanding?

I'm not seeking anything other than to prove ppl wrong.

YES! That's my point.

90% of your conversation you have on this site about basketball is just trying to prove to everyone that the Lakers are better than they get talked about. That's pretty much the literal definition of grandstanding. Facts or not, you're still grandstanding the shit outta the Lakers and it makes you more obnoxious of a poster because of it.

"grandstand -seek to attract applause or favorable attention from spectators or the media."

"grandstand - done for show or to impress onlookers"

"grandstand - to play or act so as to impress onlookers"

That's literally what you're doing, you're ALWAYS making sure that people see the Lakers in a more favorable light
