MIKE75
Bucs co-chairman Joel Glazer threw his support behind quarterback Jameis Winston. “Yeah, Jameis has been nothing but a great person since he’s been with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,” Glazer told Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. “And he’s done everything we’ve asked of him. He’s been a great leader. He’s been unbelievable in the community and we have great confidence in Jameis. So we focus on the great things Jameis has done.” The league began an investigation in November after an Uber driver accused Winston of groping her at the drive-through of a Scottsdale, Arizona, restaurant in March 2016. Earlier Tuesday, Bucs coach Dirk Koetter and General Manager Jason Licht expressed frustration at the slow pace of the NFL’s investigation. At the same time, Koetter remains hopeful Winston won’t face a suspension. I think it was important that we signed Ryan Fitzpatrick back Koetter said. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/03/27/bucs-support-jameis-winston-hopeful-nfls-investigation-clears-him/

MIKE75
From the very beginning it seems like a lot of people had Winston rightly pegged as someone who would end up in the headlines for the wrong reason and on top of that not performing up to expectations so far in his short career with Tampa Bay. All i can say is i am very glad we got Mariota. Anyone who tries to argue Winston is better than Mariota at this point doesn't have much of a argument and in fact so far it seems Mariota has definitely outplayed Winston...... Below are lots of instances where Mariota was the first to achieve something or led the NFL as best in that category. Winston nuthuggers have to admit so far Mariota has him beat handedly in many respects.

Not sure why at this point Marcus has Winston beat in pretty much everything. I printed many ways in which Mariota was better its not even a competition anymore at this point. Mariota's accomplishments are way longer and Winston pales in comparison. I'll eat crow and admit i didn't want him at first but i have really grown to admire Mariota he is one heck of a QB and has achieved a lot in just three short years. Below is not all but most of Mariota's accomplishments......in just 3 years all this below... Mariota led the NFL with four 4th quarter comebacks and five game winning drives the most of any NFL QB in 2017. In his three year career he has eight 4th quarter comebacks and nine game winning drives. He also has led the Titans to a better record every year in each of his first three seasons. Led the Titans to the biggest come from behind deficit ever in a playoff road game leading Tennessee from 18 points down 21-3 to a come from behind win 22-21. During a wild card playoff game at Kansas City, Mariota became the first QB in NFL playoff history to catch his own pass for a touchdown after it was batted back to him by a defender. First player to have both a receiving and passing touchdown in a playoff game. Led a 95-yard TD drive at Patriots. That's the longest scoring drive against Patriots in the postseason since Panthers had a 95-yard TD drive in Super Bowl XXXVIII. Marcus Mariota is 1 of 5 QBs in NFL history with 9,000-plus pass yards (9,476) and 900-plus rush yards (913) in first three seasons. Led Titans to a 7-1 record in games decided by 3 points or less last two seasons. The .875 winning % in games decided by 3 or fewer points during that stretch is tied with Steelers for the best in the league. As of 2016 Thanksgiving Day, Mariota is the first QB in modern NFL history with six four-TD performances in his first 22 career games. No other QB had more to start a career. Had 16 games with at least two touchdown passes in his first two NFL seasons (tied with Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson) Has 47TD and 0INT in red zone in his career so far...... Has 9 games with 100 passer rating/multiple TD’s only Dan Marino,Russell Wilson and Kurt Warner had more in their first 2 seasons at QB. Was ranked in the top ten for passer rating, passing TD, passing TD %, Yds/Pass Attempts, Yds/Pass Completed for 2016 season Led Titans to 35 points in one half against Green Bay the most scored in one half in 2016 and to 47 total points the most scored against Green Bay in over two decades. Named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for November 2016 after passing for 1,124 yards with 11 touchdowns and just two interceptions. Also was AFC Player of the Week for Week Ten For 2016 Season Led the Titans to number one ranking in red zone for 2016 season Became the first NFL player since Walter Payton in the 1983 season to pass for a touchdown, rush for a touchdown and catch a touchdown pass of at least 40 yards. At the N.Y. Jets caught a 41-yard passing touchdown in the wildcat formation. Mariota became the first quarterback in franchise history to catch a touchdown reception. Four games with three or more touchdowns tied Peyton Manning (1998) as the most ever by a rookie QB. First player NFL history with 250+ pass yds, 100+ rush yds & 3 TD passes in a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, he went 20-of-29, throwing for 268 yards with three touchdowns. He also ran for 112 yards on the day, including an 87-yard run for a touchdown one of the longest in NFL history for a QB. Mariota's 87 yard run for TD against Jax in Week 13 was the longest run by any player for the 2015 season. Was ranked in the top ten for Yards/Pass Attempts, Yards/Pass Completed for 2015 season Awarded AFC Player of the Week honors for Week One and Week Nine For 2015 Season Mariota holds an NFL record for touchdown passes in his first three games with eight. First quarterback in NFL history to record 6 total touchdown passes within the first two games of his career Became the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to have two games with four touchdowns and no interceptions in his first fourth-quarter/overtime comeback in a 34–28 overtime win over the New Orleans Saints, a game in which Mariota threw for a career-high 371 yards and four touchdowns. Most passing touchdowns by a rookie quarterback in one half:4Mariota's very first game gained a perfect passer rating of 158.3, making him the first quarterback in NFL history to attain a perfect passer rating in his first regular season game. Mariota became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw four touchdown passes in the first half of his NFL debut. He is also the youngest quarterback to reach the perfect passer rating in his first game as well. Above Mariota's accomplishments and below are Winston's lol........... Most passing touchdowns in a single game by a rookie quarterback: 5 (tied with Ray Buivid, Matthew Stafford, and Deshaun Watson) Most passing touchdowns by a rookie quarterback in one half: 4 (tied with Marcus Mariota and Deshaun Watson) Youngest player to pass for 4,000 yards: (21 years, 363 days) January 3, 2016 Second youngest player to pass for 10,000 yards: (23 years, 303 days; 4 days older than Drew Bledsoe) November 5, 2017 Youngest player to pass for 40 touchdowns: (22 years, 312 days) November 13, 2016 Most seasons of passing for 4000 yards to begin a career - 2 (2015–2016) Most touchdown passes before 24th birthday: 69 (23 years, 360 days) December 31, 2017 Lol a good portion of his records are being the youngest QB to do this or that. Also one of his records he shares with Mariota......

It was Webster was driving the Mariota train, and it was Webster that turned down the trade offers. Which isn’t saying much, as this is what any GM with half a brain would have done. So what does that say about Whisenhunt?
MIKE75
Mariota wasn't my first choice back in 2015. Matter of fact i wanted to stick with Mett. Thank goodness our team brass weren't so hoodwinked at the time did their due dilligence and decided to draft Mariota. Marcus has slowly but surely won me over through the years,I'd love nothing more than to see him eventually help the team win the Lombardi. He has accomplished so much over this short period of time. It was Webster was driving the Mariota train, and it was Webster that turned down the trade offers. Which isn’t saying much, as this is what any GM with half a brain would have done. So what does that say about Whisenhunt? Whisenhunt was by far the worst coach to ever led this team by far. He was tyrannical and from what i read there were lots of people around the building who did not like him at all. Whisenhunt was almost like the Cleveland Browns of head coaching. For Whisenhunt to be an offensive guru or whatever you want to call it its strange that in 2010 he ranked 31st in offense, 2012 he ranked 32nd or last in the NFL in offense,2014 he ranked 29th and 2015 he was ranked 30th. October 4,2012 this was the start of his really bad decline and lost 11 of his last 12 games in Arizona this included a very embarrassing 58-0 loss to Seattle. 1-11 Afier winning his debut game as Titans coach Whisenhunt would lose 14 out of his next 15 games in 2014. 2-14 Strange he won his debut game again but then lost 6 straight games so he pretty much lost 6 of his last 7 games in 2015. 1-6 So from October 4,2012 all the way through November 1st,2015 Whisenhunt had a three year coaching window that everyone in their right mind would wonder how he could hold on that long. His record during this span????? 4 wins and 31 losses 4 wins and 31 losses in his last 35 games as a head coach and he was ranked 31st,32nd,29th and 30th in offense. WOW thats beyond terrible......... 4 wins and 31 losses in his last 35 games as a head coach

No1TitansFan
We'll actually never know whether Webster would have taken Winston over Mariota; of course they're going to say Mariota was there preference after the fact. This latest episode actually sounds pretty bogus, although there is plenty of fault to be found with Winston as far as on field performance; his tendency to lock on a favorite receiver has followed him from college into the pros. titanruss
Of course he did it. He’s a psychopath. He also raped several girls in college. Youll see see him in the news 5 years after retiring for drugging and raping women
