Nothing presented in this forum and in this context is going to be given a fair assessment. The conservatives will all run to the sources the trust. The same sources that people who lean left vehemently distrust. The leftists and anti-trumpers, of course, will go to the sources they trust. The same sources that the conservatives vehemently distrust. You make a point, they will try to discredit. They make a point, we immediately brush it off as more conspiracy. How can we ever have an honest conversation about this when both sides are already thoroughly convinced and we can't even agree on the basic facts of the case? Here's an example: I read the memo that Congressman Nunes puts out and it does nothing to change my opinion about the things that have been going on. Conservatives read the same memo, already having their mind made up (as did I), and see it as a complete vindication of the president and damning of the FBI. We saw the Don Jr. Meeting much the same way only in opposite effect. They saw the same evidence I did and came to wildly different conclusions. This is a waste of time and a bunch of grown men hurling insults at one another for no reason. I have too much respect for some of the posters in here to continue doing it. I know I've said some things in here I'm not proud of and would never say to people in person. Yea, I think Trump is guilty as hell. I also think I've drunk too much from the poisoned well and we all have. I would love to see an honest debate of the facts but there are multiple sets of "facts" here and perception has mattered far more than what people have actually done. The Conservatives have done everything in their power to push their "facts" while holding back on the things that would be seen in a negative light. The Dems are just as guilty. As far as I'm concerned, if the Justice Department did go out of it's way to stop Trump from being elected, we should know about it and people should be held accountable. This is not about Russia... This is about using false information by our highest government agencies to spy on American citizens just to spy on a political opponent in an election... That the Trump Dossier was not used to get the warrant --- which McCabe said could not have been gotten without the dossier? The dossier was used but was from only piece of evidence used. Furthermore, the dossier was not taken at face value. The FBI did the leg work to corroborate the parts of the dossier .
