AussieTitanFan08
I just don't see JRob going to the $14 million per season range for Gilmore.

socaltitan
Highest paid CB in the league http://overthecap.com/position/cornerback/ Probably going to take at least 12M per to get a T Johnson, Gilmore, or Bouye
AussieTitanFan08
come March 9th, I just can't see us signing any out of Gilmore/Bouye/Johnson, despite having plenty of cap room there will be other franchises that will be willing to go to crazy numbers to acquire them. more interested in what the Patriots do with Logan Ryan, remember what happened with Devin McCourty when he was a FA, was all set to leave only for the Patriots to come in with a last minute offer to keep him. what we don't know is whether Ryan is considered one of those core players the Patriots will pay to keep. If we want one of these top CB (Gilmore, T Johnson, Bouye), it's going to take that much or close to it
socaltitan
Logan Ryan is a nickel CB. A #2/#3. If we want a #1, we're going to have pony up or try to draft one
headhunter
I still think Sims will start next year. I think I read somewhere Robinson scouted him for two years.

Even if you draft a #1 CB, you're going to have to pay him huge eventually if you want to keep him With CB being such a major need, guys like MM and Conk very early in their deals, and the fact that we don't really have a young pass rusher at this moment that we're going to have pay big soon makes me think they should make a move there. You're very rarely getting the opportunity to get a top-level pass rusher in FA unless it's someone past their prime. You have to draft a guy like that. Bongo59
TN really only needs one stud CB who has man press skills to take a number one man to man in DL D. This is why S at 5 is key. Byard and one stud CB solve the back end issues. TN has a plethora of depth in the secondary they just need the starter upgrade.
AussieTitanFan08
all ESPN team beat writers were required to make one prediction for the team they cover. Tennessee Titans The Titans will trade out of the No. 5 overall pick. They got it from the Rams last year when they dealt away the No. 1 pick, but when they traded back up for offensive tackle Jack Conklin, they left themselves without a second-round pick in 2017. General manager Jon Robinson will continue to work the system to turn the fruits of that Rams' trade into more and more, betting that he'll find what the Titans need at other points in the draft a bit later, combining quantity and quality. He also starts out with No. 18 in the first round. -- Paul Kuharsky
socaltitan
I agree with that prediction. I think we will look to trade down with Williams or Davis as the likely targets. Lattimore could be a possibility as well

Jets need CB really bad and I think they'll target a vet QB like Glennon instead. if the Jets grab a veteran QB in FA it makes JRob's job of getting a decent trade to trade down significantly harder. socaltitan
It does unfortunately. But with Bowles and the GM job security on very shaky ground, I would not be surprised
