Bongo59
Schrader is but it is not a fit for smash mouth. He is a zone read and 3 and 5 step passing game OT.
Bongo59
TN will have ZERO trouble getting a OT in 2-4. Me I like the Nebraska OT in 3 or 4. He reminds me of a mix between Roos and Runyan and he has the feet of Roos and the base of Runyan that he can play LT too........
Bongo59
I really dont like the character stuff on Tunsil. It is not Pac man level but we are talking pic one not pick 6. And that really elevates my concerns.

It's still a multi-year process to get those initial starters in place though, even if you front load the process and take "lesser" picks just to fill out the starters ASAP. I would bet without even looking at rosters that the ones who "build through the draft" have the most depth and it's not even close. But we're not talking about turning over half the roster in a single draft. We just want an extra 2-3 picks, before the 4th round, in the hopes of not only finding starters but building current and future depth.
Legaltitan
Agree 100% Sox. I won't say it is ridiculous to do so, but it is a HUGE stretch to say Ramsey is a "more physical Charles Woodson." Woodson wasn't picked high for his potential and athleticism, he was picked high for his proven production. Ramsey is almost the opposite kind of prospect from Woodson, in that he is valued more for how he projects, rather than how he performed. Could he end up a more physical Woodon? Sure. But that is an absolute and total speculative guess. I do agree with Bongo on Tunsil. I was all for the idea of drafting Tunsil IF he was BPA, but the character concerns are there. I don't think he is a big gamble from the perspective of character, but if the guy washed out do to character issues there would be plenty to look back on and folks would not be all that surprised. My guess is he keeps things together and is a dominant offensive lineman with largely no issues, but the red flags are there. They aren't huge ones, but theyre there. CaliTitan3518
If we stay at #1 I want Ramsey but I don't think he is the kind of prospect that you stay at #1 to pick over getting a good trade offer. Ramsey may be versatile and can play many positions but he can only play one at a time. If we can fill more holes with quality starters by moving back and getting more picks that is ideal. We aren't one superstar away from even competing. I expect us to be in discussions for trading back with our 2nd and 3rd rounder as well. If the offers are right and JROB believes he can get a better player later why not do it.
Bongo59
Ramsey is way more physical and athletic than Woodson.........he plays with a serious mean streak and he is as versatile on D as Woodson was. Woodson in his early career was not physical and it was one of the knocks on him and he lost his speed fast. Woodson was a great S at the back end of his career and he got bigger and better. I like him as a pick coming out but Ramsey is a better DB at their same respective times in their careers. Woodson did more on ST but Ramsey played lights out as a CB and S.
