Cams a good person.

I'm not here to troll or tell Titan fans how to feel about Cam or the celebration. I have been reading your board for few days before the game and a the few days since. I did not register before the game to talk trash, and im not coming here to do so now.

They're are a few on this board that insist that Cam is a classless, selfish P.O.S. not just for the end of game celebration, but because of his past indiscretions, and how he handled adversity as a rookie quarterback.

Many bring up the towel and pouting issues, and the laptop incident in college as just a couple of reasons they think Newton has a flawed personality.

Cam had a hard time to adjusting to losing when he first entered the league,   many suggesting that the towel over his head was indication of immature and pouting sore loser. I contend that it was a young man that hated losing and didn't know how to deal with it emotionally.  Coaching and older teammates helped him to learn not to wear emotions on his sleeves that way and it has not been an issue in recent years.

Cam has admitted that the laptop incident was stupid and has owned responsibilty for this youthful indiscretion,  and has learned from that mistake.

Cam is not selfish and he has backing and devotion of each and every teammate.

He started the Cam Newton Foundation to assist disadvantaged children in education and providing funds for youth programs.

He went to Charelston S.C. to meet and give emotional and financial support to the victims and families of the church shootings without cameras or reporters present.

Newton was made aware of a young boy that dying of cancer. The boys family was throwing him an early Halloween party because they feared he may not live until the 31st. Cam showed up to the party with a ice cream truck and partied with the little boy, again with no camera crew in tow.

Sadly the little boy passed away in early Nov. Newton still wears a bracelet the child gave him.

Cam danced and played catch with another terminally ill boy in the pregame of the Saints game. The boy was named a asst. coach for that day.

While many people may not like Cam Newtons on field antics at times, off the field he's a class act.

These are just a few examples of Newtons selfless character.

My god, I've never seen such a overly sensetive, self-conscious fanbase.

Did Brees and the Saints do permanent psychological damage to all Panther fans? Do "Who Dat?" chants play in your nightmares? Does Charlotte offer group classes for QB-envy related depression?

GTFO.

(Then proceeds to write long post telling Titans fans how to feel about Cam.)

LOL

Show me where I one time told anyone how to feel about Cam. I just offered some facts about Cams work off the field that many do not know.

You're a week late;  nobody here cares anymore.

See you in four years.

This board was just discussing  Cam at length today after the Tennessee moms letter to our local paper. The last time I checked there was 8 pages of caring.  I just figured since I was allowed to register I would add some facts to the discussion.

You didn't post that attempting to influence how we think of him?

Why should Panther fans have "permanent psychological damage"  from anything involving Drew Brees and Saints?

I guess that depends on if the reader is open to the the facts, or would rather operate using old and tired dogma to justify there opinions of Cam. That's still different than telling you how to feel.

I didn't like him from the beginning, the stuff with his dad in college, but that's in the past.  I think it's cool how he gives balls to young fans and such.  But there's a difference between confidence and cockiness, and he leans toward the latter.  Not saying I hate him for it, not that extreme, he just rubs me the wrong way.  Regardless of who he plays for, or how much of a beating he gives my team.

Fair enough. There's a few NFL players that I have a strong dislike for, for no particular reason other than as you say, they rub me the wrong way.
