If the decision to tank was ever made (it wasn't), it was when they pulled Locker out of the lineup.

Whatever you thought of Jake Locker you all should have known he represented a better chance to win with than Zavck mwerttenberger or Charlie Whitehurst did.

We went winless with Zack mettenberger at QB, We won 1 game with Charlie against the Jags.

Jake beat KC in Arrowhead.

Just try and put it together.

uh.....no

LOL,c'mon,is this shtick?  Have you truly and honestly watched all these games the team played the last three or four years?  Locker was terrible the guy has zero pocket presence, can't hit the broad side of a barn accurately and was injured countless amount of times. I could pull up a dozen or more games where he doesn't complete 50% or half his passes. Did you watch the Cincinnati and Dallas games that Locker played in after Kansas City. In both games he completed 16 of 34 passes and threw two interceptions in both back to back and was so bad Troy Aikman was commenting wondering how he made it four years in the league. Locker finished the year with a 70.9 passer rating and Mett a rookie played the same amount of games and had an 83.4 passer rating. Also in his very first game Mett set a franchise rookie record for passing yards and two games later set a new record on MNF for passing yards something Locker never did in his short (thank god) time here.

Someone needs to find me a game since the Titans became the Titans in 1999 with worse QB play than those.  Maybe Matt Mauck or Rusty Smith's starts?  But those were from guys who were nobodies starting out of desperation.  Those two games, given the fact that it was the 8th pick in the draft starting the games, were the worst I've seen out of a Titans starting QB.  Vince Young's worst game was never on that level.

The stats made the starts look better than they actually were.

So my husband, who is a Colts fan, watched Ken at the halftime interview and said, "Right now, Colts fan would die for Pagano to hold the team as accountable."  I thought Ken might have been a little too negative with the "too many mistakes".  Especially right after his rookie QB just set a record. :P

I think Whiz is perfect for MM in that he'll make sure MM corrects even his small mistakes like taking a 3 yd loss.  Whiz has the perfect student and MM has a great teacher.

But I await the day Whiz gives MM a fist bump coming  off the field like he did in training camp.  Probably never happen.

If even most of this is true, then Whis and Webster had to be sweating bullets when Tampa was on the clock with the opening pick.

I'm sure they were anyway to some extent, but throwing away a season (only to come up 2nd on draft night) is a gamble only a fool would make.

They were on record stating they were comfortable picking either guy.  Was that a lie?  Would they really have chosen Winston?

I do wonder if Tampa hadn't tanked the last game, the Titans go in with the first pick, who do they take?  Thankfully we and they will never have to find out.

I think so, but I'm not certain. I still think Winston will be a good QB in this league, and that's worth something. However, if we were picking first, I think we'd still take Mariota, so I'm sure our coaches were thrilled with what actually happened.
