titanruss Posted August 25, 2015 Report Share Posted August 25, 2015 This is true but I think Dungy and his defensive expertise was the magic combo to elevate that team. Basically, he was able to just ignore the offense and let Mr. Coach on the Field have at it, and concentrate on the defense. I have an almost irrational loathing for Dungy, but in his heyday the guy was a defensive guru. Yes and no. The defense and the running game are what won that superbowl and the playoff run.... the difference in the offense?... the O coordinator limited mannings playcalling abilities/responsibilities.
