Guest
It's the losers excuse, nothing more. I talked to Alabama fans all week who said they were going to "kick Oklahoma's' ass". After the game they are saying the same thing you are. I find that comical. I'm not an Oklahoma fan, I just don't buy excuses. Bama just isn't a great team this year. Auburn isn't either. Don't mistake me for an Alabama fan. Oklahoma is nowhere near as talented and they sucked for a stretch of the season. I'm not sure how anyone can say that Alabama team wasn't great this year though. This Bama team wasn't near as good as the previous few. OU is pretty damn talented. They always are. If Bama lost to some Boise State or something I would agree that they mailed it in. But they lost to an OU team that is certainly as talented as Auburn is.

I watched part of the game last night, realized Alabama was going through the motions and turned it off.
luvyablue256
I think the game is starting to pass Nick by. It's gonna be really interesting to see if he's humble enough to adjust his scheme to beat the hurry up/no huddle.

WG53
You amaze me. You get on here and bash the FO, coaching staff and QBs of the Titans and then get a hard on over a QB who probably isn't any better than Fitzpatrick at the NFL level. IMO Bama didn't bring their A game and I'd assume they didn't prepare to the same level they might have it this game meant anything. But at the same time McCarron was exposed for what he will be in the NFL with NFL pressure and NFL DBs. At best he is a middle round pick. He isn't special. And compared to Locker he isn't close to the same NFL prospect. I said it before and I'll stand by it. Connor Shaw with SC is as good or better of a Qb prospect. I would like Shaw if we could get him with a 5th or so. He needs some time to develop.
luvyablue256
The guy just won back-to-back championships, yet the game is passing him by? Probably not at this moment..but 3 different schools have figured out the formula to beat Alabama. Play fast, play wide and play hard. TAMU, Auburn and now Oklahoma. One is an accident...two is a trend....3 is a problem. What's going to happen if LSU, Georgia and Tennessee start running the HUNH (hurry-up/no huddle)? Is Nick humble enough to look at his 20+ years of defensive work and say to himself "is it time to make some changes?"

Still, there's no way the game has passed him by.
WG53
Tennessee already runs an up tempo offense. They just do not have a good qb...yet.
