He's got Jay-Z's sport's agency behind him (if I'm remembering right who has gone on record of saying he wants hockey to be more mainstream like the NFL, NBA, etc) and the national media (NHLN, TSN, etc) have been showing us crazy love for taking him - saying how we're now a premiere place to land for free agency, and we've been one of the most trending things on Twitter since the draft started. TorontoTitan Posted July 1, 2013 Report Share Posted July 1, 2013 The Preds really lucked out this year. I dont think they are nearly as bad as picking 4th overall would indicate. There is a lot of parity in the NHL and with last season being a lockout shortened year, I think that added even more to the unpredictability of it all. Great year to have a down year and pick up a guy with #1 overall potential. I could definitely see the Preds being good next season even without a huge impact from Jones. If he ends up to be what he projects to be this also means the Preds will be likely trading Weber for a bevy of assets in 3-4 years time or sooner.
