  1. This is def something that can effect people who aren't diversified and in debt
  2. The future markets dropped 800 points the night of the election Short term market moves are pretty meaningless Buying shares every month over a life time guaranteed success
  3. Investors who move in and out of the market average like 3% The data is clear about market timing
  4. The market has been steadily going up, earnings were good etc....before the election
  5. He could def be your saving grace, my guess is market goes back up tomorrow
  6. Which goes back to my original point in this thread, you have to be right twice you could be wrong twice
  7. Or maybe buy back in now! All we know is we don't know
  8. With tax cuts, deregulation and infrastructure rebuilding looming I wouldn't be surprised if the market goes go up for a good while. Exxon has their CEO in place to get what he wants etc......
  9. HBO will air the seventh and penultimate season of Game of Thrones in the summer of 2017. Game of Thrones Season 7 will consist of seven episodes and HBO is hoping that showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff will extend the series’ eighth and final season to more than the proposed six episodes. Next: Game of Thrones Prequel Series More Likely Than Spinoff That isn’t the only method of keeping the Game of Thrones franchise alive that HBO is considering. HBO is also considering a Game of Thrones spinoff, something HBO has never done with any of its previous series. HBO hasn’t made anything official yet, but Casey Bloys, HBO’s president of programming, offered a status update at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour. “All I can say is that we’re exploring it. We don’t have any scripts, we’re not even close to saying ‘Oh let’s do this.’ But it’s a big enough property that we would be foolish not to explore it,” he told Variety. “It’s a really rich world. We’d be foolish not to look at it.”
  10. The market is guaranteed to go down again, it's not guaranteed to go back down to 18300 again though. Deregulation and expanded oil drilling and a lot of Trump's rhetoric could inflate the markets. Trump getting elected was suppose to tank the market and the opposite happened. All we really know is we don't know. Thus the problem with market timing.
  11. I was hoping the REIT would collapse so I could load up early Jan in my ROTHs
  12. Vanguard released their dividend payouts today and wow. VNQ jumped from .60 a share to 1.70 per share. God bless rising interest rates! "Mr Donald Trump gonna save us all.... high cotton"
  13. Dating back to last season, Wilson's last 16 regular season games: Wilson: 4,360 passing yards, 32 TD, 3 INT; 247 rushing yards, 2 TD
  14. The total market(VTI) this entire year is 7.78% Small caps(VBR) is 17.09% Starting after Jan(Feb 1st) it's an even bigger margin The REIT I have in my Roth is actually down .29%. It's a smaller % of my portfolio
  15. I have a pretty big holdings in a couple of small cap funds and they have done really well this year, that's where the bulk has come from. In just my 401k Since Feb 1 this year I'm up 72k
  16. My portfolio has exploded since this "Trump Rally"! In fact since Feb 1 I'm up huge this year(Jan was the worst Jan in history)
  17. This thread had nothing to do with the election.
  18. How are you going to invest? A 401k, a Roth IRA or a brokerage account. The best way is to "Dollar cost average"(google it) every month. Just buy index funds(ETFs) and do this until you're ready to retire. Just get an ETF in the S&P 500 or total stock market index. This is how to get started. Don't do anything until after you start this. If you want to broaden after this fine but this has to be your foundation.
  19. The market is going lower and lower every day simply due to Trump moving up in the polls. For strictly market timing reasons you should hope for a Trump upset, the markets would totally tank.
