Yeah but again you’re missing the larger point I made to him. The year Mayfield for example was drafted first overall, Josh Allen went 7th and Lamar 32nd. Would you rather have Allen/Lamar or Baker Mayfield?
-
No that’s fair. My point was clear though, the best QBs in the draft have been mostly after the first selected since 2015. There are a few solid QBs here mainly Burrows. That said, to me none besides Burrows and Williams are franchise QBs.
-
Lets look at first QBs taken since 2015: Winston, Goff, Trubisky, Mayfield, Murray, Burrows (only good one), Lawrence, Pickett, Young, Williams. is this what a 78% win rate looks like to someone looking to argue and not man enough to say they are wrong ?
-
So your argument against my correct statement is essentially in a nutshell me saying 1+1=2 and you saying yeah but 2+2=4 so you’re wrong? Got it.
-
Dude you’re going to have to learn to read. For the tenth time, since 2015 (That was the date I said this entire thread) the top QBs taken normally were not the best ones in the draft. Yes pre 2015, it was easier to scout QBs. The reason for this is because of College Offenses making bad QBs looking better than they are IMO. To be crystal clear for the 10th time, my point which is not an argument, is since 2015 specifically, the first QB take in the draft is normally not the best one. There are years they are, but mostly in the past decade that isn’t the case. Stay on the point I made, quit trying to argue something else entirely separate from my point.
-
Yeah when did I say first round QBs are bad? I clearly articulated the first QB taken is normally not the best QB in each draft. That was a very clear articulation you need to grasp.
-
You’re missing my point and looking to argue. The point which again is a fact and not an argument is for the most part the top QB taken in the draft since 2015 is not the best QB in that draft. There’s not an argument there unless you just want to create one.
-
That’s entirely my point.
-
Nope that’s not the answer forsure and not why I prefer Sanders. I just continue to like Sanders more and more when I did into his numbers. That said, going against the grain to an extent is normally the right approach at QB in the draft. History does show that to be the case. There’s no argument there
-
Yeah that’s fair. But to my point outside of Burrows the best QBs taken are not the first QBs taken. So you saying no one sees Sanders over Ward, isn’t really an argument at all against Sanders. If anything, it could be used as an argument for Sanders. They never get the top QB right again minus Burrows.
-
They’re actually wrong more than not. Outside of Burrows the top QB taken in each draft hasn’t been the best QB taken over the last decade.

I agree. But consider these are the same analysts who put Williams ahead of Daniels and Young ahead of Stroud.

Well they both sucked for quite sometime at drafting consistently. -

This is a WR I would really like the Titans to take late. Hard to beat 4.3 speed at 6’5” and Thornton plays slot and outside. Thornton’s weaknesses are consistency and injuries. Talent is there though. https://x.com/dp_nfl/status/1901810308185809297?s=46&t=Ncmnqh6yxyR7Kxsc3D5OpQ -
Sanders reminds me of Mcnabb personally.
-
That’s fair. Time will tell.
-
This is why he is slipping. And yeah he threw his team under the bus all the time. He is selfish. If he would have shut his mouth, he’d be a top pick. Instead he wanted Birthday parties the team was required to attend and the ability to publicly criticize teammates and belittle them. Trash personality, I agree.
-
That’s fair. Look I’m speculating on Cally liking him more. My opinion: I like Ward and Sanders both. That said, gun to my head I go Sanders based on the deep ball issues Ward has had. Not to mention Sanders is one of the most accurate QBs ever using WAT. I know this is unpopular, I know everyone hates Sanders personality, me included. It’s just so hard for me to ignore how dang good he was in college.
-
You’re good man!
-
Ward as WAT shows is elite over the middle best in the draft. He is very inaccurate though with deep balls and below average in short passes. We would need elite slot WRs if the team goes at Ward. Sanders is well above average in all three areas: Short, Middle & Deep Passing

Here’s another article who also quoted Cally the same as ESPN. Calling a black guys Radio because you disagree with his takes, is only something the incels on TR would do. Keep it classy Titans Report, & yes Callahan did compare Sanders to Burrows. Calling a Black Reporter, Radio, does not make it untrue. I am truly baffled at the maturity of some posters here. https://athlonsports.com/nfl/tennessee-titans/titans-hc-brian-callahan-shedeur-sanders-joe-burrow
