well since no one here lives anywhere close to ireland I didn't consider that.

Are you serious? The Irish and Italians built the east coast and were considered second class by most of the other Caucasian groups. It's all there in the history but white people like to think they didn't treat their "own" like shit.

This line of thinking is part of the problem. White Bar? Lol. You have a lot to learn about society.

Nope, I'm just being realistic. But white people usually don't see their bars as being "white." I guess it just so happens that the music that is played is white people and all the people there outside of a few token blacks and asians are white.

Nobody is stopping anybody from integrating these places, it's a matter of taste. I'm not going down to the local honky tonk every weekend and listen to that crap, and I guarantee those folks have the exact same thought about the places I go to. And if you think these cultural divides have zero racial correlation, you're being willfully naive. But i'm the one who has a lot to learn about society.. lol

You are perpetuating the issue and yes, you come off like Parker with your descriptions of entertainment venues. I know plenty of white people that go clubbing and like the urban scene. They don't call it the "black" scene. The same holds true for traditional bars. Expand your horizons and try to see past color. you will be surprised at what you find.

What I WAS GETTING AT was that when it comes to social functions each generally sticks to it's own activities. a black prom was not held because of a segregation issue. It was held because the black culture in that area felt the need to throw a prom that better fit what they felt a prom should be.. That was the point.
