"Well, [that] he’s black, he kind of does his thing, but he’s not really down with the cause, he’s not one of us,” Parker explained. “He’s kind of black, but he’s not really the guy you’d really want to hang out with, because he’s off to do something else.”

“Well, because I want to find out about him,” Parker said. “I don’t know, because I keep hearing these things. We all know he has a white fiancée. There was all this talk about he’s a Republican, which, there’s no information [about that] at all. I’m just trying to dig deeper as to why he has an issue. Because we did find out with Tiger Woods, Tiger Woods was like I’ve got black skin but don’t call me black. So people got to wondering about Tiger Woods early on.”

Being a Republican is much bigger complaint than whether he is white or black enough. I may have to stop liking the kid. ... what a shame.

Stephen A. Smith should have unloaded on Rob Parker...

And Rob Parker is really naive if he didn't understand what RG3 meant when he says "Don't identify me as a black QB." I have respect for that. Do people call Michael Jordan "the best black basketball player ever"? Do they label Derek Jeter as the best "black Yankee ever"? RG3 is simply saying he doesn't want his mantra or label to be identified with his race. He wants to be respected as the best simply and only because he's the best...

Not the first time this type of topic happened

If you remember about a year or so ago, Jalen Rose had some choice words about black basketball players who went to Duke

I understood Jalen Rose's point. His point had some merit. Duke doesn't go after players from the hood. He thought he was good enough to play for Duke, had the grades, and knew he could be of good character. However, due to his circumstance, he couldn't get a call from Duke.
