Lakers look really old.

Kobe and Howard apparently fighting in the locker room .... enjoying the Lakers' implosion.

The Lakers do look both old and dysfunctional. Kobe is going full on, "it's Kobe time" this season, tuning out his teammates to eviscerate the competition (to poor results). Individually he's had a lot of amazing performances in games the Lakers have lost. I'm thinking that sick dunk over Paul recently that was ultimately meaningless because of the Clips win.

And now both Dwight and Pau are out indefinitely? Good grief. I just want Nash to put up consistent numbers #fantasy.

And how about the Grizzlies? They've played really well, especially when their starting five is on the floor, and when Conley is playing well. Z-Bo is having a vintage season and I love their defense. With proven success against the Spurs, with OKC looking dysfunctional, and with the Clippers being the perennial enemy of fate I wouldn't be surprised to see the Grizz sneak to the Western finals, even the Finals if they have an unbelievably lucky run. You always have a puncher's chance with bigs like Gasol and Z-Bo. And if they do make it, they would match up well with Miami, being able to throw Gay or Trick or Treat at Lebron, and riding the front court to dominance in paint points and rebounds. It isn't likely, but it isn't totally implausible.

Do you think they might trade Gay?

Uh, what is happening in Grizz land with shopping Gay AND Zach Randolph? I don't think they believe they are chasing a championship this year.

Grizzlies aren't shopping Z-Bo as hard as they are Gay. Sure they will listen and teams WILL make offers but it would take a king's ransom to get Z-Bo.

So after watching the Warriors-Grizz game I have to say that the Grizz are a solid 2nd tier team. Play great team defense and smart offense. I think they can beat the Clips but would fall to the Thunder or Spurs in a 7 game series. They don't have that "take control" guy, just a really solid group of players all around.

Now it looks like Greg Oden is going to make a comeback. Heat are interested. Oden would be a good fit in Miami if anyone believed his knees were worth anything at all.

Their bench is solid and deep. There's not a lot of dropoff when the starters come off the court. The Grizz are well coached too. Their defense is what makes them so competitive. They've been fun to watch. The Warriors game was good one.
