CMJ
I know it's all about match-ups but from what I've seen the last two series the Spurs should be favored over either team Right. They beat two Tomato Cans in the Lakers, Warriors and then the Grizz.
CMJ
I was going to ask, for those of you who are so certain the Heat will "ass rape the Spurs" once the finals come, how are you all feeling about that now? They're still a great team, but after watching this series, I honestly think we should be the favorites over either team. I feel like half of you don't even watch the game, you just see the name Heat and assume they're elite. Watching them play will show you that's not the case to the extent you may think.I'm fully confident the Heat will win the Finals. Stern is pulling his predictable puppet master M.O. and extending the IND-MIA series for the sake of ratings. No one gives a rats shit about the Spurs, so who cares if they are not playing. Make no mistake,Stern needs the Heat to go back to back for marketing purposes and they will.

Who will you be guarding in the Finals? Also, the Heat won 47 of 50 games before the pacers series. Don't be that guy who doesn't respect the opponent, especially when you have been bitching about the lack of respect given to the Spurs.
OILERMAN
I'm fully confident the Heat will win the Finals. Just by glancing over this thread haven't you been completely wrong about everything concerning the NBA playoffs?

The concern for the spurs is the Pacers are just the perfect match-up for the Heat and if the Spurs face the heat it will be nothing like this But that doesn't change the fact James has no help

Don't be that guy who doesn't respect the opponent, especially when you have been bitching about the lack of respect given to the Spurs. I'm not disrespecting the heat. Hell the first thing I said were they are a great team. Sorry I'm not blowing them off.. Again, to make it clear, the Heat are a great team, and one that's going to be tough for anyone to beat. But as unbeatable as so many are quick to make them sound, they're not. And I don't think I've bitched about the lack of respect for the Spurs, just found it funny how some people are so quick to jump on their every mistake and make crazy assumptions like they'll never win another game. It's a fucked up form of denial that is just...weird. The remaining three teams are all damn talented and whoever makes it to the finals will be in for a good fight, whether Stern likes it or not (if IND advances.) Supposedly the Heat can't counteract the insane Pacers front court. It will be easier to defend Duncan should they advance. Either way, it should be a decent Finals. Guest
The fact that Wade and Bosh have been this bad is a testament to what Lebron is able to do. I'm in no way handing it to Miami although I've thought since day one they'd be the champions this year. The Spurs certainly have a chance to beat either team, but if I'm San Antonio I certainly would rather deal with Indy (they already beat a similar team in Memphis) than deal with Lebron (best player on the planet). You have to think Lebron is salivating over a chance to get some revenge on TD who humiliated that abysmal Cavs team in his first Finals appearance. Faceless
The league would absolutely hate a Pacers-Spurs finals; it would probably be one of the lowest rated finals of all-time.
Titansfan920
I think it'd at least do better than Spurs Pistons did. I honestly don't remember how they did rating wise but I remember people being upset about it. And neither of those teams had much offense to speak of whatsoever. I think this year IND/SA have a lot more options and are much more fun to watch. That's just me personally.
Titansfan920
Also, what's the word on Hollins coming back to Memphis? I read that it looks like it's not happening because they have some "irreconcilable differences" they can't get past. Would be a terrible move to let him go, I think he's a great coach. I fucking hope he comes back. Brooklyn or LAC are probably going to throw a boatload of money at him.
Mercalius
Word around the forums is Joerger is set to replace him, as Hollins has some issues (including his temper, inability to develop certain players, etc) that the FO wasn't too fond of. Joerger doesn't have much experience in the bigs, but he has a phenomenal track record leading up to now.
