CJ2K...

This game was his best in years, perhaps since 2009. But it does not negate his pitiful performances. If he could put in good performances consistently then he might be worth keeping, but even then, consider his contract. A couple of good or great performances mixed in with a whole lot of pitiful performances is not a good tradeoff.

I am not ready to declare that the old CJ is back. Let's see what he does the rest of the season, most especially the game after the bye week.

Will he rest on his laurels again?

Regardless of what happens with CJ the rest of the year the Titans have got to get a quality RB next season that can take carries and be insurance in case CJ gets scared again or gets hurt. If he got hurt right now Harper would be a total train wreck as the starter.

Harper is terrible. Should have been cut last year when I said he should have been cut. I agree, we got to get a reliable bigger back who can get tough yards. We can find one of those in the 4th-6th round.

I give credit where it is due. Johnson is now hitting the holes where he rarely did earlier in the year. The upgraded OL to include Thompson and Stevens is making holes where the OL rarely did earlier. I honestly hope this continues since the team needs a running game (plus a defense) to win a few games. I agree that a productive back up RB is a must add asap.

What we have learned recently is that Cook is not a full time player. It's not a coincidence that as soon as Cook starts seeing limited snaps the Titans also start running the ball more effectively.

He also drops the few opportunities given to him.

But he has the nerve to ask for a trade or new contract.

CJ's average for the past 5 games is 130.4 yards per game. While he surpassed that during the 09 2K season, he hasn't come close to those numbers for a 5 games stretch in any other season. In 08 & 10, he didn't even average over 100 yards per game for a 5 game stretch, although in 08 LW was getting some carries.

He's also averaging 6.7 yards per carry over the past 5 games. He hasn't averaged over 6 yards per carry over 5 games in any season other than the 09 season.
