Jamalisms
Jamal did say there was no such thing as garbage yards, so being down 39 points and facing back-ups still isn't garbage time I suppose. What was the context of that quote again?
ZEPPELIN
It is hilarious how a guy who we paid top of the league money as a supposed playmaker is now being praised for occasionally playing better than complete dogshit. Today was not one of those days, however. If we weren't getting completely blown out, he would not have had the opportunity to run against their scrubs . Anybody with an ounce of common sense would know that he would not have gotten that 80-yarder against their starters. Not a chance. Those runs happen against bottom of the league defenses like Buffalo and backups when we are getting mauled. It was garbage time no question. Up until that point, his day was pathetic. He was one of the big reasons why we were getting killed....two fumbles. This team totally sucks and CJ still sucks. I find little reason to be a fan right now. Griffin is a total joke too by the way. He is definitely #2 on my list of overpaid pussies who are cancerous to the team. But, the ultimate blame for how bad this team is falls squarely on Bud, the FO, and coaches. We are now one of the worst run franchises in the league, no question. No wonder Cook wants to be traded. I don't blame him. I also feel bad for Locker. His future potential as an elite QB looks pretty dim. I want to kick myself for continuing to pay thousands of dollars a year to support this vomitous organization. I feel totally scammed.
titanfan24
People have an agenda against CJ, and they always show up here......CJ was definitely part of the problem today with laying the ball on the carpet, but he hasn't been a fumbler, and we were Murphy's Law today. But, with that said, he can still run that ball. The best run he had all day was when they tried to run a counter play in the second quarter......Hutchinson got blown 5 yards into the backfield and took Taylor Thompson, who was supposed to be the lead blocker out....CJ made Lance Briggs miss twice and got four yards on the play. Those are the plays he wasn't making a month ago for all who are at the games. CJ isn't even one of the 10 biggest issues on this team right now! The bottom line is CJ has sucked for 2.5 years. He is playing a little better than last year, but as I said, playing better than dog shit while getting paid top of the league money is a joke and a slap in the face to those of us who have had PSLs for 14 seasons. If our FO was competent, he never would have gotten that contract in the first place and would be gone by now.

At the time, there would have been a fan mutiny if you would have let your only Top 5 position player go. i have also had PSL's for 14 years and its a slap in my face everytime we let a "marquee" player go. You have to pay someone in this league, and at the time, CJ had earned that check. As a matter of fact, his contract isn't going to be an albatross around this team's neck going forward with the cap skyrocketing and the 90% rule kicking in. The facts are that the previous front office just played poorly in Free Agency.
OILERMAN
If a new talent evaluator(coach or GM) comes into the fold and self scouts this team CJ and his 10 mill base salary is the first one shown the door after the season, guaranteed. It could be, but we're probably talking about having a 1,300 yard RB being let go for nothing tangible in return. That's just bad business on the front end. If you can deal him, deal him, but you have to get something for it. We better have a good two-headed contingency plan in that case. And you'd probably end up paying 7-8 million for the contingency. I also think it's funny how you think CJ earned that check after his abysmal 2010 season. We were dead last in TOP in 2010.
abenjami
Now the defense for CJ is Murphy's Law. Too funny.

We were starting Rusty Smith by Week 11. I mean, its like FOX and MSNBC, you can splice things and manipulate the numbers a million ways, but that entire offense was an abortion in 2010. So, now its CJ's fault that KFC was done and had no thumb, VY was a mental patient, and Rusty was Rusty but a worse version?? C'mon Son!

This is a guy that usually fumbles twice a season, that did it twice in 6 touches.

So, I guess that carries us right through from 2008 to the present. He had nothing to do with our bottom of the league TOP, right? His success rate was impressive, right? Give me a break
