But I'll tell you, as a non-game player, I don't see how there could ever be a bigger cliffhanger than I've been saddled with. Did Abby kill Ellie? Did Abby do some other strange shit when she shot and the screen went blank? I now get the "Day One" thing, and I actually thank you for that. Maybe spoiler? Don't care. So imagine the cliffhanger but add in "who the fuck is this bitch and why/how does she keep kicking the shit out of my characters?" to it all. CreepingDeath Posted June 10, 2025 Report Share Posted June 10, 2025 Just finished season 2. I never played the game. I know of its existence. I wasn't spoiled on any of the story. However, S2E1 didn't really light anything up for me. Ellie was a huge bitch. Then when I got around to watching E2, I had to turn it off a few minutes (maybe 15-20 minutes, not sure) in and then didn't get back around to watching it for 2-3 weeks. By then, some thread on reddit or somewhere spoiled that big event. But I was already questioning how the show was turning into The Walking Dead (a dash of Ellie being idiotic and unlikable with some hulking beast zombies that are nearly unbreakable... I guess that one had Mario's power-up mushroom??). But the show did keep my attention. I'm going to spoil myself by reading up with what happens in the game now.
