I’m not a fan of using the shift when you have a runner on first. For some reason snitker shifted when gurriel was up in the second with a man on first and 1 out. Gurriel can hit the ball all over the field so it was dumb to shift. He hits a routine double play ball and there is no second baseman. A hit that should have ended the inning and kept the game 1-1 led to a 4 run inning and basically ended the game in the 2nd. They kept pulling together at all the right times, be it the bullpen, hitting from the heart of their lineup, random streaks from all of the players they traded for at the deadline, and tonight Freid throwing an absolute Gem. Only they 4th time a team that was under .500 at the all star break won it all. I’m on cloud 9. Ive been waiting for this to happen again since I was 6 years old. I can’t believe it’s real!
