The seems like a thread that Kyle would start.

I’m being serious. Without Kern we don’t make the playoffs and are likely stuck with Mularkey at 7-9 or 8-8. If it wasn’t for his leg then Mularkey wouldn’t have had his taste of glory, become an arrogant prick, and we are stuck. Kern is the MVP of the Titans.

Do you really think they'd have kept Mularkey without a playoff berth, even if he didn't have that press conference?  I don't.

A better question is whether they would have still fired Mularkey had they beaten NE

That's a good question.  I think there were reports out that they were thinking of firing Mularkey even if they won a playoff game.  2 playoff games and a win at NE?  That would have been hard to sell.

I don't think so.....

Mularkey was a very unpopular coach. I think overall the fan base would have been OK firing no matter how far they got.

If they got to the Super Bowl he was staying no matter what.

Had they won that game in NE?  Only you, Maurice Jones Drew and my father thought they were going to win that game.  I think people would have had a different take on him had they gone into Foxborough and won.

Actually I was pretty happy when the game first started Romo pretty much laid out exactly what I posted about why the Titans had a chance to win that game.

And BTW, it was disgraceful how the Jags blew the game against NE.

The Titans were overmatched and the game was over as soon as Mariota got hurt, the Jags on the other hand had the game wrapped up against NE and totally blew it because of coaching. The Eagles finished them off

NE was not nearly as good as previous years

I agree they weren't.  But the entire league basically is mediocre.  That's why I thought the Patriots would cruise.

Doug Marrone coached that game scared.  Competent coaching would have won the Jaguars that game.  Thankfully that didn't happen.

Yes. Robinson wanted him gone. Strunk did not. If it wasn’t for the press conference(s) he never gets fired.

Maybe, maybe not.  Remember, the rumor was he was gone had they not beaten Jacksonville and then even KC.

That was Robinson, not Strunk. She wanted him here. 8-8 and he knows he has to make changes and talks Strunk into keeping him. 9-7 wins a playoff game and he flips his lid. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think I am. If he doesn’t pull that shit he’s still the coach.
