wiscotitansfan
I'd wait until the 4 pick rolls around at least but I'd assume QBs will go wayyyy too high in the draft in that format where someone will drop to 9. You may not get Davis at 9 but I think there's a huge jump from Fuller to Alshon where you have to decide if Davis is worth essentially 2 starting spots since I'd rate any of the 3 receivers this draft much more likely to be better than Fuller

I'm not a fan of Alshon, but there's a chance he could rebound this year in Philly. Having said that, 4 is a helluva lot better draft spot than 9. And Fuller could do well with a a better QB. And this is a PPR league. Chances are the guys in this league will be more interested in Fournette, McCaffrey, and Cook over Davis. Thoughts? I don't love Alshon either. He's either really good or really bad. You have a solid wr core already so a boom or bust type player like him could pay off. At 4 you are guaranteed Davis Fournette McCaffrey or Mixon. Who do you have at RB?

Isaiah Crowell, Danny Woodhead, and Doug Martin. I know you're going to say I should draft a RB... and if Fournette were to fall to 4 I'd be insane to pass him up. But I can always get a Kareem Hunt or Perine later in the draft. I could also try and work more trades to offload some WRs for RB help. Taking Davis would give me flexibility in trading away reveivers for RB help.

No I'd just say if Davis doesn't fall to 4 then one of the RBs wouldn't be a bad pick. Maybe get to #4 pick and try to move from #4 to #1. It will be easier to convince #1 to move back because he still gets one of the 3 rookie RBs. Let's say you did alshon and #9 for fuller and #4 you could then flip #4 and Snead for #1. That gives you Davis Landry Crabtree and Pryor still.

Hopefully Will Fuller gives the trade extra value, but I'll get one of the first 4 players in the draft. Hoping it'll be Davis, but I'll settle for one of the backs. I need a good back to build with too.

McCaffrey, Fournette, and Cook went before my pick. So now I have the conundrum of choosing between Davis, who I moved up for, and Joe Mixon. The homer in me, along with the guy who's seen all of Davis highlight vids and guy who traded away Juilo Jones for Mariota, wants to take Davis. The guy who looks at his RBs and sees Isaiah Crowell and Danny Woodhead on the roster is tempted to take Joe Mixon. But I could wait on RB. Marshawn Lynch is available, along with Perine, Hunt, and Foreman. Idk if they'll last until my next pick though.

WR shelf life is longer making him more valuable for dynasty. Joe Williams is the RB I'd be targeting for a potential steal.

Just have to see which RB make it to my next pick. I forgot that I also have Doug Martin, so that'll help down the road after he's bavk from suspension, but I'll still need early season help. He rushed for 1400 yds in 9 games. Shanahan had him as his player he had to get. With Carlson Hyde being in his last year of his contract and being injury prone Williams could be the future back for SF.

Kareem Hunt was there for my 2nd pick so I took him.
NashvilleNinja
@CaliTitan3518, new development in this league. Someone has put Andrew Luck on the trading block. I offered him a package of Tanny, a WR, and a draft pick for Luck buy he wants a better QB. My QBs are Brady, Mariota, Tanny, and Mahomes. The only QB I would want to part ways with is Brady and that's only because he's in the twilight of his career. But should I even consider offering Brady? He's nearly 40 but he's been playing like he's closer to 30. Keep in mind this is a 2-starter league for QBs.
CaliTitan3518
Depends which WR you are giving up. Brady could fall off at any point then you are stuck with Mariota and Tannehill. Id shop him with the package but like I said depends on which WR and draft pick you are having to give up.

It was Willie Snead and my 2019 1st round pick. If I'm including Brady I can't offer a 1st. I know he's old, but still... it's Brady.
CaliTitan3518
I'd do the Brady and Snead package for Luck. If he demands a 1st just try and get a 3rd rounder back. Your QB situation is bad once Brady is done. Luck and Mariota sets you at the position for the next 10-15 years. Luck is arguably the top dynasty QB and all it is going to cost you is Snead and a 1st. Dont think about losing Brady because you are upgrading the position.
