LOL!!! Yeah like that 15 yard penalty against the Raiders the special teams got for diving over the pile when we were at the 2 yard line... Nice job special teams.... The answer to the question is a resounding YES. Would I love to get Hightower? Of course. Look at the money given and the names it was given to. Would you like to sign Mike Remmers to a $30 million contract as a splashy FA or would you rather make our Pro Bowl LT happy next year with a new deal? Ryan and Cyprien are excellent additions and easily help our weakest area from last season. The other weak area, Special Teams, has been helped tremendously. How many homegrown talents do the Jaguars have to worry about resigning?Slim and none because that talent did not exist on their roster save Ramsey in FOUR years and maybe Telvin Smith. They have to spend big money to overhaul their roster. And anyone freaking out, do you realize that we still have the Draft to go? There will be 2-3 starters likely brought in from that. I'm not entirely sure you can say that yet. and we dont have nearly enough draft picks to cover the holes we have and we created. We also dont have first dibs weeks 1-4 on player pickups. Our WR have thinned out and we brought in no one (though signing the aiken kid could even it out) We created a hole at TE where we also have a starter thats a year older (signing the wilson kid would mayyyybe recoup the fasano loss) We still need a 3rd RB - ANY 3rd RB (murray will get injured the way we use him and as you saw this season he's a waste of space when injured) We lost depth across the line while not gaining anything there... and has mentioned we have contracts expiring across the line very soon. Dline we lost depth and a guy who started much of the year. And signed a guy who has been a huge bust coming off a terrible year. But there is potential there and maybe he was miscast some. LB - nothing other than the ST guys. DB looks to be better... but when we picked up Cox/Johnson/Searcy... all three of those - at the time - were on the level we now think of Ryan/Cyprian... and we still need depth there. ST - yes.. much better. Though the returner is no breakout scoring player.. he's simply a guy who will get 3-4 more yards on punt returns than mariani. Our entire hope of the offseason so far hinges on players getting better that we drafted last year, and players becomeing more used to the system..... Including Marcus who will be limited until pretty much the season has started... and maybe even some then. Has our roster improved? Maybe...

The best WR he had for 1/2 the year was a late round draft pick that dried up... Then, when needed the most, the team rolled over and played dead against the Jaguars---freakin Bortles tore them to shreds...Bortles... my God...and the Jaguars are getting better while we nickel and dime some special teams...Fucking Donny Nickey would be proud of the tradition JRob is keeping...Maybe he should bring back Ryan Mouton to misplay a punt or two and cost us some more games... Not sure how you could pin that loss on JR. That loss was a combination of a tired Titans team coming off a brutal win in KC and a lack of motivation from the coaching staff.
