He has this one up. 6th? game of the season.

 

Jackie Harris was more open than I've ever seen a receiver be on the TD catch; watching it from the upper deck, there was no one within 50 yards.

Edit : wrong game for that play, but a few observations after watching: Killiens, Wortham, Bowden, and Robinson may not have been the most athletic group of LBs, but boy did they hit. Kearse's first step was ungodly, even by today's standards. That secondary was ridiculously deep: Robertson, Bishop, Rolle and Walker were all high quality all pro or near calibre  and Jackson. Sidney and Dorsett were quality as welll and  played significant snaps

I just watched this again.  Thank you for posting it.  Brought back good memories.

Our defense was stout in that game.  And McCareins was a total douche - two dropped TD passes. And Fisher with the ballsy call to go for the score on 4th and goal instead of taking the sure field goal right before the half.

But the big take away is that even when he was not having a great game, McNair refused to lose.  He took the team on his shoulders in the first half and ran for those two touchdowns - even with a totally banged up body that couldn't even practice.  Pure guts.  He willed them to win this game.  Compare that to Brady, who totally sucked in that game.  Did Brady take his team on his shoulders like McNair did?  Not a chance. I also forgot how much Madden loved McNair. 

It's games like this that was the reason Sports Illustrated chose McNair as their NFL MVP for 2002.

Man, I miss Steve.
