OILERMAN
As I explained in the initial post, I added 2009 CJ because I have 2000 Mason as both a WR and KR/PR, which means both those positions are filled by 1 player...meaning that I have 25 players with 2009 CJ, not 26. @OILERMAN...you obviously don't understand the concept. Not a real shocker. You're right, I don't understand how adding Mason as the KR and WR both makes it where you can add two RBs. You just wanted a way to kiss Eddie's ass and get him on your list

The only reason CJ got those yards in 2009 was because your mustached messiah was throwing some smoke to shield his ineptness.

Fuller would have been an even better choice at 1991 but I needed Dishman at CB there. I had also wanted Runyan for 1998 but we have also had a deficiency of OLBs so I needed to put Robinson there instead and use Stewart as the RT in 2006. Also notice that the special teams selections were for very recent years (2010, 2011, 2012). That says A LOT about how our talent level has gone to crap. Challenging exercise. IowaOiler
I admit that I had a few players that were going to be on the list regardless. Childress, George, Munch, and Matthews are all guys that I really enjoyed watching, and they all had more than just skill...they were leaders. Those are the kinds of guys a team of greats needs. I like your list though...it's a tough endeavor, but I enjoyed remembering all the great players we've had over the years.

With regard to Childress, the lack of talent on last season's roster forces the only reasonable choice to be Casey at DT. That leaves only one other DT that can be chosen. That choice then comes down to Childress 1990 or Haynesworth 2008. I went with Haynesworth 2008.

I hear ya. I was just having trouble choosing Wright 2013 instead of Bennett 2004. Each change in choice cascades. Very difficult list to come up with. Cool exercise. The only reason CJ got those yards in 2009 was because your mustached messiah was throwing some smoke to shield his ineptness. While plenty of the criticisms of CJ are valid the '09 version of CJ utterly destroys Eddie & it's not even a discussion. CJ was an absolute monster in '09 & it was one of the greatest RB years ever. Also, '06 Travis Henry & '93 Gary Brown destroy Eddie as well.
Denali
I had 3 WRs on my offense and Wright was the slot guy with Mason and Bennett on the outside Slaughter was awesome and I didn't want to leave him off. I think each person doing it would come up with a different list depending on how they wanted to compromise. For example, if I wanted to focus on DE, I would have taken Fuller for 1991 (along with Kearse for 1999 that I already chose) and then I would have needed to take a CB from a different year, etc... Imagine extending the exercise to include this season. Who do you take? Even if you take Wright for last season, then what does that leave you with? Casey? Casey had much better numbers last season. Same goes for Wright. Our lack of talent now is scary.
