scine09
Pretty much this. And it would be a very poor decision to dump your General Manager when it looks like Mettenberger is the real deal. Organizational continuity is important when you have a quarterback, even at the GM position. I agree. I just thought it was a noteworthy comment by someone that is supposedly in the know. scine09
Staff as a whole I'm fine with that, but Horton probably should go. Doesn't know about stopping the run. I can't say I'm overly impressed with Horton but he has a good reputation so we'll see what happens. I'd like to see how well the D does when they have the players that supposedly fit his system. scine09
Tommy Smith loves Webster more than he loves fried food, there is no way he's making a change there. I don't know about that.

scine09
Basically we are back to 2011 this season going in needing a starting QB, a revamp of the OL and an overhaul of the defense. We got a QB now but that was pure luck. I'd keep Wiz and build the team around Mett. I wish we could bring Reese back over Webster. Why can't they? Reese is not currently employed. dannynj
The GM or the coaches didn't miss 19 tackles against the Eagles on Sunday. Correct me if I'm wrong but missed tackles means players were in the right position to make the play (scheme) but didn't do it.
Face
Though I've been critical of Webster in the past, and rightfully so I might add, I'm very against firing him after this year. For one, it looks like he had a good draft. Secondly, we have a new pro personnel guy, let's see how FA shakes out with him. But mostly I prefer a HC & GM to be a package deal. What they really should've done is fire Munch & Web & hire a GM to pick the coach. They didn't do that so Id let these 2 work together, they seem to have a good rapport. Frankly I'm more disappointed in the coaching but I'm giving Wiz a pass at this point because of the youth movement. But if next year is ugly both coach & GM may have to go

We got a QB now but that was pure luck. I'd keep Wiz and build the team around Mett. I wish we could bring Reese back over Webster. Reese was the GM here during the glory years 1999-2003 and Tennessee won more games than any other team in the league and he did have this team competiting for the big game during those years so yeah i'd take him back in a heartbeat over Webster. The team finally found their QB in Mett and i'd love to see how Reese would do in free agency and the draft. I heard Reese wanted Cutler back in 2006 so he would've been right on that issue as well had Bud Adams had stayed out of the picture in regards to VY. Makes you wonder how he would've done if he never would've been let go.
