Mercalius
Forsberg stole the show tonight. 2g 1a for a win over the Canucks. This kid's looking legit.
freakingeek
Poile is looking pretty damn smart right now trading Erat for Forsberg, snagging Laviolette and picking up Neal and Robeiro.
freakingeek
Winnipeg looked good last night. I thought the Preds played hard. Winnipeg got lucky on the Scheifele goal but overall they played a great defensive game and deserved the win.

freakingeek
Rinne has looked solid for you guys this season. (Devils fan for the record, Grew up in NJ) Rinne is a game changer. We're scoring more this year but in years past, Pekka kept us in a lot of low scoring games that we technically shouldn't have been in. We came damn near making the playoffs last year with him being hurt pretty much all season. Had he been healthy we would have made the playoffs. I 'm glad it worked out the way it did though. I think it was time for a change despite lovin me some Barry Trotz. This years Preds are good on defense AND offense. It's been fun seeing the transition. Where in Jersey did you grow up? Yeah I agree. That save Hutton made last year when he was behind the net was incredible. Predators have a very underrated team it'll be interesting to see if Neal can produce without Crosby feeding him. Middletown, same town Clerks was filmed in. jtworsley
The Devils look awful tonight especially on the PK, but that fourth goal by Detroit was just absurd, it bounced off the boards, and clipped Cory Schneider's skate and went in. one in a million shot
Mercalius
Forsberg has just been ridiculous so far this season. It's so weird having a guy with his talent, that young, on the roster.
freakingeek
Forsberg has just been ridiculous so far this season. It's so weird having a guy with his talent, that young, on the roster. The Neal, Forsberg and Robeiro line has been lights out. The defense has to key on Neal and Forsberg has that ridiculously quick release on his shot. Makes for a deadly combination. I remember when Poile made the trade for Forsberg, the Washington fans were NOT happy. Plus Erat's cap numbers ($4.5 mil. made it hard for the Caps to hang on to Robeiro, who then went to Colorado and didn't fit in and eventually wound up here playing WITH Forsberg and Neal. Poile earned his salary for a couple of years on that swap. The only knock on Filip as a prospect was he didn't score a lot in the Swedish elite league and usually that doesn't bode well for prospects hoping to jump to the NHL. So much for that theory. I didn't get to see the game Sat. night with the Blues but that was a pretty damn successful road trip.
jtworsley
The Devils offense looks so much better with Cammaleri back. Rask is just stonewalling us though
freakingeek
After scoring a goal and an assist in last night's game, Filip Forsberg is now leading the NHL in plus/minus ratio at a +17. Wow. Neal is 10th in the league in goals scored and Forsberg is 14th. (Hornqvist incidentally is 6th) Good trade for both teams. The thing I like about this years team is we are scoring but we are still playing stingy defense. It's been fun to watch. Big game with the Blues tomorrow night. Rask is just stonewalling us though Thanks for knocking off the Wild. I like to see Leopold and Suter screwed at every opportunity. BTW, I lived in Bergen County (Hillsdale, Westwood and Ridgefield Park) for about 9 years back in the late 60s and early 70s before I headed south. My dad got transferred there from Cincinnati. I enjoyed my time there but too many people for me.I moved to Nashville in '74 and been here ever since.

Yeah Bergen County is a pretty packed place, as is all of NJ, it is the most densely populated state in the US, I don't blame you at all haha. Anyone see Ben Bishop slam that dude from Chicago last night?
