Guest
They outplayed FSU until the end of the second quarter and then we took over. Saying anything else is really taking credit away from FSU. They started slow and Jimbo and Jameis both admit the offense was pressing. They made their adjustments and outscored Auburn 24-10 to end the game. All everybody kept talking about was how would FSU respond when faced with adversity and trailing in the 4th quarter. Well they responded exactly how all their fans and the the team knew they would. Screw Auburn being "battle tested". I understand you guys aren't fans like myself but the lack of credit being given to them is unbelievable. Not surprising though. I mean the team that wins, wins. Period. FSU did play a good game, especially in the second half, but to say that they outplayed Auburn to the extent that I don't look at this and see an unbelievable amount of luck factoring in? FSU had to rely on a broken kick return that was a success because of a cramped player, an inexplicable example of bad tackling, a 4th down fake punt converted (good execution for sure--but a high risk play) and Auburn scoring too fast at the end of the game on the Tre Mason touchdown run. As far as I'm concerned a lot of things went right for FSU, a lot of things that most of the time at least one will go wrong. FSU won and is the Champion for sure. They are going to get a lot of credit--whatever. But as a spectator, I saw a game that Auburn should have won and didn't, with some extremely flukish plays keeping FSU in the game. Anyone using this game to comment on the quality of SEC football is foolish because Auburn overall had a more dominant performance and this looked like an upset, not an underdog matching a better team. tinman
Auburn's fast tempo rushing attack (let that sink in) really killed them in the second half. Left too much time for FSU that was the story of this game. FSU never took over. Auburn just had a few broken plays and couldn't put it away... FSU won.. but I dare say if this was a best of 3 series Auburn kicks that ass 2 times..
