I can see both ends of the argument though. We can all agree that we're not one or two players away from competing for the AFC South. Mettenberger coming through as an answer or at least serviceable QB would be a huge boost, but even then we still have big questions all over the roster. Are we better off with one 'sure' thing from our first this year, or 2/3 shots at guys later in the draft? I'm torn here but at the moment I think we have to take this rare chance to get the most highly touted guy in the draft. Looking at the FA class I would be quite happy if the Titans brought in Suh and then traded back, but I would rather deal with the Jets or Browns: Philly would sell the house for Mariota because Chip believes Mariota will take his team to the next level. Given they're already a play-off team that doesn't bode well for the position of their future draft picks. I don't know that there is a realistic shot of us getting a trade with the Browns or Jets, in which case I'd side with sitting at 2 right now.
