JLocker10
It's not that silly at all. We're talking about a player with major durability issues who has missed 19 games in 3 years, and has never caught more than 45 passes or had over 775 yards receiving in a season. Not to mention all of his off-the-field issues that have plagued him over the past few years. I think the Titans would seriously consider getting back their 3rd round pick in 2014 from SF in exchange for Britt. If you also consider the fact that Britt will be a free agent next year, the best the Titans could get is a late 3rd round compensatory pick. I just don't see them keeping Britt with Wright and Hunter around. If the Niners are truly that desperate, I don't see how the Titans could possibly turn down a 2nd round pick for Britt. This would be one of the worst trades in Titans history And you're posting as if Hunter is proven. He's proven nothing yet. He's a guy who was a high pick who has potential. Ben Troupe and Tyrone Calico were that at one point too
Oiler FANatic
Then why not trade him? Because we need him this year. The Titans have 4 good WR's right now: Britt, Hunter, Washington, and Wright; but they only need 3 of them. Obviously Hunter and Wright aren't going anywhere, that means either Britt or Washington will go. Nate has very little trade value, if any, but with Britt's "potential" the team can definitely get something in return for him. They drafted Hunter to replace Britt, it will happen this year or next so why wait?
