abenjami
0.5 PPR league. Starting lineup is 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (WR/TE). 4 keepers allowed. Cost is original draft round. I'm already keeping: McBride (4) Rice (5) Olave (8) Who should I keep as my 4th keeper? Breece Hall (3) Pitts (10) Our draft order hasn't been randomized yet so I don't know if keeping Breece would cost an early or late 3rd but I'm leaning Pitts at this point either way. It would be nice to have Breece locked in as my RB2. That would allow me to spend the first two rounds on RB and WR and I'm set everywhere except QB. But at the same time, the value on Hall isn't that great in the 3rd it's pretty much his ADP and if I keep Pitts that's good value and trade bait. CaliTitan3518
What players are you expecting to be there for your first 3 picks if you dont keep Hall?

It's a really weak keeper class due to our league rules. Nearly everyone you'd expect to be there in a non-keeper league standard redraft will be there. Looking at ESPN's current top 40 ADP, the only keepers will be McBride, Olave, Rice, Javonte Williams, Tet, and Egbuka.
CaliTitan3518
If every player is going to be there you would assume there is still a chance you end up with Hall since the 3rd is around his ADP. Doesn't it make more sense to end up with Hall as your keeper than to play it safe? If you keep Pitts who know who you end up with as your RB2. You mentioned trade bait so if your league likes to wheel and deal that obviously opens doors for you. Just not sure what kind of trade target a borderline top 10 TE is. I've been thinking about this too and I definitely need to wait to see what the draft order is, to see how early/late my 3rd round pick is going to be. I've penciled out a mock draft and it seems like if I have an early 3rd then instead of Hall I could get someone like Kyren or Love. But yeah, late 3rd, Hall would be nice to have, otherwise I'm left with guys like Jacobs, Swift and Irving. Another thought I have depending on my draft slot is to take Bowers early 2nd, then trade McBride for a late 2nd or early 3rd.

Tough to give great advice without the details but I think you are thinking right. My big advice would be not to feel like you should take Pitts just because he is a little value for the keeper slot. You already have Mcbride. Pitts value isnt much for your roster. I personally would take Hall. Just the safer move to put together a competitive roster. Pair him with a top 12 RB and WR. You already have the #1 TE. Olave and Rice are good values for your keeper format. Both are roughly 3rd-4th round ADPs.

If we eliminate the top 24 ADP players, here are basically the guys that should still be on the board. RB: Kyren, Love, Hall WR: Nabers, DeVonta Smith, Flowers, Higgins That of course assumes no one jumps on Josh Allen, Lamar, or another QB in round 2. That is almost certain to happen in this league, it always does. That could also make someone like Henry, Walker, Pickens or Nico available. I'm thinking I can't keep Hall now. I mean, worse case scenario he's still there and I take him right?
