To reach the finals, they won three games on the road to advance to the semifinal @MSG. They then beat Wichita State to advance to the finals. Lipscomb is a small school with under 3,000 students. Lipscomb has been a strong NAIA power for years, best known in Nashville for baseball and the Battle of the Boulevard with Belmont. Belmont went big and Lipscomb followed.
