Our QB just put up the 2nd best completion percentage in league history in a spread shotgun offense and you guys are still bitching about him in the offense thinking he’s limited? Idiots.

The guy hasn't thrown for more than 3,500 yards in a season.  How does he not seem limited to you?  At this point in his career, Ryan Tannehill had two 4,000 yard seasons.  Clearly, a young QB doesn't need All-World supporting cast and coaching in order to produce.  It seems like there are nothing but excuses made for Mariota, when he has never proved that he can be more than a game manager.

Something that hasn't been talked about enough is what defenses have done to adjust to the thing Marcus has done well.

For example, the last two years Marcus has excelled passing from play action. Kuharsky reported the other day this season Marcus is one of the worst rated passers from playaction. One thing that has stood out to me and I first noticed it in PSG#3 was teams straight up rushing the passer when the Titans try and run playaction. The Steelers destroyed the Titans doing this. Add in the fact the terrible rushing attack and pass pro and it's pretty easy for defenses.

The Titans have to build a dominant running game to lean on and to dictate to defenses how they can play the Titans. That won't be done this season so the staff will be hamstrung to try and get by. The need a foundation RB to replace Henry for and obvious improve the blocking.

The Rams, Saints and KC have great running games defenses have to respect.

Even teams like the Seahawks, Dallas and the Texans who have came on are great running teams.

Russel Wilson was the leading rusher for Seattle last year, and Lamar Murray was terrible when Watson was tearing it up last season.  It helps to have a good running game, but they clearly didn't need one to play at a high level.    Until teams have even an ounce of respect for our passing game, it will be very difficult to implement a dominant running game.

Bradford set the single season record a few years back. Mariota put up a 78% comp against the Colts.

Big deal if it doesn't lead to production.

His two lowest comp % games since the SD game are the NE and Dallas games. Maybe % isn't the be all end all
