What will President Trump do?

Trump just praised Pelosi and said he wants to negotiate with her on healthcare, drug prices and infrastructure.

Last night, I wrote that was a very real possibility.  He likes deals.  He might work out some deals on those issues then tell the Senate, which has a reverse of this election with many more republicans running than democrats in 2020, that if they do not go along with it, he will mock them over and over on Twitter for holding up his deals, creating primary challenges for them.

Edit:  McConnell says he wants to work on improving the ACA:  https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2018/live-updates/midterms/midterm-election-updates/mcconnell-calls-for-bipartisan-work-on-fixing-the-affordable-care-act/?utm_term=.b823e50249bb

Maybe a Democrat won the White House last night.  Trump might get more "Democrat" legislation through over the next two years, then Obama and Clinton did combined.

If he gets infrastructure passed, helps the ACA and Pelosi can get McConnell to return the filibuster for judicial nominees in exchange for giving republican a seat at the table in the House (I.e. ignore the Hastert Rule that republicans have so diligently followed), I can live with President Trump's shortcoming (they would be more amusing than threatening in that scenario.)

Pelosi just threw down the first marker to Trump and republicans, basically saying:  If you believe what you say about protecting people with pre-existing conditions, then withdraw the lawsuit.

Trump is going to be fine to work with unless the Dems go full libtard and try to push through ridiculous stuff.  Trump is far more of a leader than Obama was and the real issue here is how the Dems work with him.  Trump has specific issues he is strong on but he isn't just a far right guy for the most part and has even stated he thinks healthcare should be available for everyone. If they are hostile and try to be little bitches like they were the last two years he will win by a landslide for re-election and have both hoses.  This was far from an anti-Trump election and more what is typical in midterms.  We will see if Dems meet him anywhere close to half way.

Look at all those lies you just wrote.

Trump and republican economic philosophy is fundamentally flawed.  You don't build an economy for the long term from the top down.  Never forget that.
